There no problem on the Sandalo Skin Food Splash. I have a good back up.  I was planning on filling more bottles tomorrow. The Shave soap is  another story. I never thought that it would go that fast and I made a big batch. So it may take longer to get that restocked due to the infusion time and I have to get more Sandalwood oil from that supplier  I got this current batch from which I’ll order tomorrow. I’m at my other job today but I do believe I’m sold out on the Shave Soap. I will confirm that tomorrow morning. Again no worries on the Splash.

Thank you for your order and support.

WTF Frank? You said there is plenty and it's out only a couple days later? Also, I can't sign into my account on your website, 404 unknown error after doing that stupid recapcha for three minutes! Please don't take this as yelling, I just want to know what is going on now that I am ready to order. Thanks.

As far as the Sandalo Artistico Skin Food Splash, yes they sold out within hours of putting more up.  I have to fill another batch of bottles of it. Which I’ll do on Monday.

The other issue you had with the website disturbs me and this is the first I’ve heard about this problem.  I’ll see if I can get in touch with my website developer as she’s the one that would have to fix the problem. It’s the weekend so hopefully she’s around to fix it.

Thank you for letting me know about the website.

As far as the Sandalo SFS it will be available on Monday again.

Enjoy the weekend!

Thanks for getting back to me so soon, I wasn't going to worry about it until Monday anyway. I don't know what was happening, but I have logged in now. Usually this is something with redirects between outside services like recapcha so it just started working again. I do want one of those Sandalo SFS splashes and have my cart reloaded again so I will try again Monday and hopefully the items in my cart won't go out of stock!  Confused

Can anyone comment on how the Ethos Mysore Santal splash compares with the scent of Fine Santal Absolut Aftershave (or maybe AoS since I have heard it is similar to Fine) ?

Hello rocket

I can give you my take on this subject. To start I’d have to ask just to be 100% sure.  Are you want to compare the Mysore Santal or is it the new Sandalo Artistco ?

To start out the Fine is a totally synthetic fragrance. Fine works with large fragrance companies . That scent was a perfumer who works there’s interpretation of the original AOS scent which did contain some authentic Sandalwood oil along with a few other notes. Some being essential oils and some aroma chemicals. It had a Sandalwood vibe to it but also had a bit of a medicinal opening that came from the eucalyptus essential oil. Fine’s interpretation to me smells similar but does not have as much depth and character as the original AOS blend did.

Neither of the two of them smell like the Mysore Santal which contains only 1960 Mysore Sandalwood Oil and infused vintage 70’s Mysore Wood chips. So no other notes. It’s simple Mysore Sandalwood scent.

The Sandalo contains a large percentage of East Indian Sandalwood oil with some of the same Mysore that’s in the Mysore Santal.  The Sandalo has other components including both essential oils and 2 aroma accords.  So I would say the Sandalo is closer to the original AOS but with a  more prominent Sandalwood projection with none of the medicinal notes.

Hope that helps.

What’s next on the list as far as bringing back one of the originals.

Not talking about new scents as I’ve got some in the works.

Out of these 3?

1. Vanilla Safi
2. Tonka Bean
3. Dragonsbeard

FYI  The Vanilla Safi would take the longest of the 3  Dragonsbeard and Tonka Bean about the same time.

Always appreciate the feedback

Thanks Frank. Very helpful. A bit of a convoluted back story but I was considering picking up the Mysore splash with my next order ( I am caving in on the Bergamotto Smile . I was trying to hold off on more citrus to explore other scents outside of my comfort zone.)

I received a sample bottle of Fine Santal Absolut with a BST lot I purchased a while back. Off the bottle I was uncertain about it, but I ultimately tried it. Once it dried down, it had some interesting notes. I have such a limited experience base with Sandalwood that I was uncertain how much of an approximation it might be for an authentic formulation. Sounds like none, relative to the Mysore.

I was considering layering the Sandalo with some citrus (say the Melange d’agrumes or Bergamotto splash) and thought the Mysore might stand up better to those combinations with a higher concentration? Plus it would be interesting to explore a more pure form of the Mysore.

As far as the performance concern is like compare fresh homemade orange juice (Ethos mysore santal) with Fanta (Fine santal absolut). Well, both of them are orange taste and sort of smell, but one is real juice and another is artificial reproduction.

Ethos Santal has real mysore essential oil there and this is how Sandalwood smells like. It is very reach, creamy and woodsy the same time. Plus here you have tons of skin beneficial ingredients to take care of your skin like EOS complex, hyuaralonic acid and  others.

Fine santal is lighter scent. Well, you can find some mysorial accords there but its not so creamy and rich as in Ethos product. And the fragrance is fully synthetic.
Plus  in Fine splash there are only alcohol, water, fragrance and menthol. Nothing beneficial at all. Personally I even wonder how people can apply such of things on their skin and be sure that it is sort of care ........

Definitely agree with the vote for Lost Souls and King of the North. Particularly bc we will likely be coming out of winter by the time of the release.
