Ok so I know that some of you might think I’m a little out there when it comes to making things but it’s just my nature to explore new paths.

So I have a good customer who I call a friend and he asked me to make him a Custom F Base Shave Soap and a matching Hybrid Skin Food Splash. An he wanted Sage! Noting but Sage. He’s proud of his Native American Heritage and Sage is something he has used all his life.  Well at first I thought ok that’s not difficult as I’ve got some really nice Sage Essential Oils but then I started to think, isn’t it a tradition to burn Sage or what’s called “ Smudging “ so I’m like maybe I can infuse some Sagebrush and some Sage Leaves. Well I did that and that’s not the first infusion I’ve done as some of you know but what my assistant and myself did is we Smoked the Shave Soap and we also built a smoke tent and smoked the Skin Food Splash. I did also use Sage Essential Oil in the two products but wow was the Smoked Sage scent strong and I didn’t need a lot of the EO.

We took some photos of the Smoking process of the Shave Soap but since we both had our hands full we didn’t take any photos of when we smoked the Skin Food Splash. We had to transfer the shave soap to a Pyrex dish if your wondering.

This whole experience not only was a lot of fun but it has opened up all kinds of possibilities for future projects.  I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure this was a first and I’m damn proud of what Gino ( my assistant) and myself accomplished with this experiment.

I love the smell and I’m hoping my customer does as well.

So some photos.

Great shaves!

We are on the same page John
Sandalwood and Oud Wood were the first two I thought about after this turned out to be a success and I have both of those woods in my facility. Like I mentioned, doing this Smoked Sage opened up many other possibilities.

Thank you Bouki  that’s a good one! An it’s funny last night I must have spent like 2 hours looking at different wood and other smokable twigs and dried leaves etc. Now my mind is overloaded with ideas!

UPDATE

For those not on Instagram.

We launched all the Alcohol- Free Skin Food Lotions today at 12 noon EST.

Scents available now.

1. Greenfresh
2. Fresco
3. Lavender Supreme
4. Peppermint
5. Succes
6. DFS Colonia
7. Blood Orange

Very soon there will be a Unscented in the Custom Collection and it can be purchased as is or there will be a drop down menu with sone Aroma options and of course you can always message me for a complete custom Aroma.

More on Customizing soon.

For those that would like to know. This lotion is what we call in the cosmetics industry as a shear lotion. It is not a balm, nor is it a milk. This Lotion has the highest percentage of the EOS Complex of any stock product I’ve made up till now. More on the EOS Complex coming soon.

A couple things to know about the lotions. They obviously take longer to dry than an Alcohol Splash would so before you apply any other product over it ( if you do ) let it dry. Also when applying put it on damp skin as it will aid in absorbing into the skin.

These come in a 2 oz white glass bottle with a lotion pump so pump lightly as you don’t need a lot as it spreads very easily. These lotions have a bunch of skin beneficial ingredients in then that address both the Epidermis and Dermis layers of the skin so with continuous usage you’ll notice an improvement in overall skin condition.

These can also be used on the entire face.

Here’s one image of one of the Skin Food Lotions.
