I agree 100% Mark..  if this thread was about let’s say a scent like the popular thread “  Bay Rum, Bay Rum, Bay Rum “ and I made a Bay Rum Shave soap then any brand including ETHOS that makes a Bay Rum could be discussed in that thread, but when a thread is specifically about a soap brand like DG, SV, MDC or Zingari Man for example the person who started that thread did so to discuss that brand specifically to maybe get opinions from other members on the performance, scents, availability , new releases, how to get the best lather or their own persons experience with that brand. I wouldn’t want my brand brought up or talked about in that thread as I’m sure the original poster wouldn’t or he would have purposely included another brand in his post. It’s kind of disrespectful to the brand that the thread was started about.  Like you said there are plenty of threads that are open discussions about Scents, best post shave, slickest soaps, top 5 soaps etc etc etc. that include many different brands. Mark that would be like you going into a thread that’s all about let’s say Stirling soaps and you come in with a comment out of the blue that states “ well my top 5 soaps are WK, Tabac, MWF and PannaCrema.  Not cool! 

Stan I see you only have like a few posts so alls good sir. I don’t think Mark was trying to give you a verbal spanking just bringing up a good point about thread edict.

For those of us using Tapatalk, I just couldn't figure out what was going on. It looked like everyone was re-writing the sign up form, but no one wanted in. I was thinking, after the last time seeing it, that maybe they were bumping it forward so it didn't get lost?

I finally opened the website version and saw the @ links. Now it makes sense. Lol. What can I say, I'm a bit slow.

For anyone who doesn't use Tapatalk, user links are invisible, as below.

Don't apologize Frank, it's not an issue... just a funny quirk of Tapatalk.

I wasn't looking to sign up, so it wasn't something I looked into at all. I just follow the Ethos thread and thought it was really weird never being populated. However, I was embarrassed that I didn't think about the logistics and it may be populated with the accounts. Lol.

All you have to do is select the post and from the menu select WebView. It'll open your browser and see the actual list in the post (see the attached screenshot).

The software DFS uses doesn't integrate as well with Tapatalk, I don't think. There's other software, that other sites use, that will show tags ( @ userid ) in the Tapatalk interface.

It's really just a quirk you have to look out for.

Amongst my all time favourites - along with ETHOS Vanilla, Succes, Vetyver, Colonia, Agrumes&...you get the picture.  In fairness, was the remnants of the H&S 316 passaround so only 2 shaves left upon return  Check out the quality of the jar; really shows when empty.
