UPDATE:
I know that some members on here would like me to try to duplicate the I Colonial scent and I’m more than willing to try but I’m extremely busy with ETHOS and the CBD labs I work in part time have me on a new project that’s pretty intense.
With that said I could use a little help on these areas listed below and I’ll do the rest.
1. It’s the Aftershave that I really need as scent strength is stronger and usually purer as it’s in a much better environment as far as persevering the scents as it’s in Alcohol and in Glass . Also Age and especially in a soap can diminish or change over time even though it is still very recognizable to the person that owns the product. So if anyone has enough to send me at least a full oz, that would really help me out.
2. If anyone knows the history of this scent meaning the company’s name that made the soap and aftershave I Colonial that may help me find the scent profile/notes.
3. If anyone knows the actual scent notes that would be a huge help.
So if we can work on this project together that would be great. I could send the aftershave to a couple of big Fragrance companies I’ve worked with over the years and they could put it on a GCMS ( Gas chromatography - mass spectrometry machine but the two problems with that is they need at least 3 to 6 once’s and some companies I’ve worked want no less than a liter. Also they will do the R&D needed for free but their minimum orders can be anywhere from 45lbs to 400lbs! Example if you were to have one shampoo manufactured and was working with the minimum of 45 lbs of the scent, that amount of fragrance oil would yield about 5000 8oz bottles of shampoo. The cost to buy 45 lbs depending on the scent ingredients would be between a low of about a $20 to over well $30 a lb! So most orders I’ve placed for hair care product fragrances in the past average around $1,200 to $1,800 for minimum 45lb orders with shipping. Of course with a small company like ETHOS this is not the path I’ve taken. I do all my own development of my aroma blends and 90% of them are using essential oils, resins absolutes etc. i can’t begin to tell you how expensive that would be if you were to have a big Fragrance company like IFF develop a 100% natural blend and the numbers I’ve put up would be multiplied by quite a bit! So not an option. This is totally on me.
So if we work together on this project it would be easier and a lot less expensive to achieve a good close duplication of the scent. So any info, products would be appreciated. This may be a short or long journey to reach the goal but I’m willing to put my time and effort’s into it.
On this project you can pm, email, text me or if you’d like to set up a call we can do that and of course you can post in this thread.
Thank you!
Frank!
