Duplicate Brushes

There is a particular brush that I have been enjoying. It is a Duke 3 Manchurian. I have found that I reach for it more than any other brush I own. I like this brush so much that I am thinking of buying another with a different handle material.

I am curious, do others own multiple of the same brush?

I have more than one brush with the Envy White knot and also Paladin Select, TGN Finest, Simpsons Best, Ace 2 band finest, and TGN Silvertip Grade A.

The Envy White I have 5 of. Different knot sizes, lofts, and handles. I love the knot.

I was thinking that if I did not get more than one and I wore it out that I would be back at square one trying brushes again.

3 Rooney Style 1's, 3 Rooney Style 3's and 2 Paladin Falstaff's. But I don't consider them duplicates, since their knot characteristics and handle colors are all different. I'm not sure that I would get the exact same knot in the same handle style with only the handle color being different.

I too own a couple Paladins and a couple M&F brushes with a third on order. But, they all are a little different with respect to knot and/or handle.

As you noted, my struggle is same handle (different color) and same knot. But man...I LOVE that brush.

If I find a knot/type of hair that I enjoy, I will usually get a few more.

Zenith 26mm Boar. I have two with 57mm loft, 1 with 61mm. If tvbshaving had these in 27/28/30 etc. I would buy them all.

I do. I own 2 RR Bruce, cause I really enjoy that brush.

I also own 2 Parker silver tips, and several Wolf Whiskers of the same knot type, cause I really liked his black wolf knot.

I own seven Shavemac brushes for now. I will be ordering more. Some are silvertip 2 band, some are silvertip 2 band D01 and all fan shape. Two of my silvertip 2 bands are 26X54 and another 28X54. Obviously, all three have different handles. I have no problem with duplicating brushes because even though they are similar they all have different characteristics. I also have four Wiborg brushes in 26mm and 28mm. Brushes of this quality are a pleasure to use even if they are similar.
