Done and Dusted ---- Products you have finished

Finished an unidentified soap in an Old Spice Mug. One of the downsides of having a lot of stuff is that sometimes things like this happen.

It was probably a tallow soap, and I think it may have been original vintage OS soap. It performed excellently all the way until it was done. It had no remaining scent by the end.

I don't know if I can replace it, since I don't know what it was. I would if I could, though.

Yohann, I have a vintage Old Spice soap in its mug.  I got it as NOS on eBay and its scent was long gone but its performance was, and is, superb so it is quite possible that what you had could have been original Old Spice shaving soap.

Freddy: Yeah, based on the performance and the fact that I had a vintage OS soap in a mug at some point (and it's not there anymore), i'm pretty sure this was that soap. I remember discussing with my wife whether I should use it (it was NOS) or if I should give it away to a collector. I can't remember what I decided, but it's likely that I decided to use it.

It's gone now, so I'm on to something else - a tallow based soap made by an online friend. I don't think he made more than one or two batches of soap, but this is really very good.....on par with the better Prairie Creations lots.

For me, Prairie Creations hit its peak with the Douceur de Cando line.  I still have a bit left in the rose scent.  I don't even know if Prairie Creations is still in business but it was definitely the first artisan soap that proved to me that they could be excellent.  Today, we really are spoiled for choice when it comes to quality artisan shaving soaps.

This was the very last use of my first tub of Barrister_N_Mann Cologne Russe Shaving Soap and, fortunately, I have a backup.  Virtually every last bit at the bottom of the tub went into this amazing lather.  Will, you certainly know how to have your soaps go out with panache.

I have another Antesol waiting in the den. This is a must on the summer time

Finished a tube of Palmolive SC yesterday. This was a tube sent to me by our very own Freddy several years ago. I liked it from the first time I tried it and bought another couple of tubes of it. I've actually been using more than one at a time, but now this one is done.

it doesn't happen often, but I finished this off tonight (I can't be bothered to get the very few drops of gel left inside the bottle). It's expensive for the amount you get, the stuff stinks pretty bad and it'll burn you up good if you have any type of irritation/nick on your skin. I probably won't be replacing it...

Stirling Soap Company South Padre (body butter)

I know, it’s not really even a shaving item. But at least it was made by an artisan in our community. And I was able to finish something other than just a sample!

In the spring of 2016, Stirling (ezlovan) was selling this product at a reduced price to those who would use it and give feedback. So I thought I’d give it a try. It’s a fast-absorbing lotion in the very pleasing South Padre scent. I still have other similar products that are older than this one. Perhaps that speaks of how I felt about it.
