I also was happy to see I am not the only shaver to find a spot at rinsing and take another swipe! Thanks, Dave, for sharing the razor and shave with us.

Thanks for watching Eric

Thanks for that excellent video Dave.  I am going to plagiarize my own youTube comment, and extend it a bit.

One of the things I enjoyed about the video was your discussion of gap, exposure, head geometry, and blade feel.  It is a good reminder that razor performance depends on a complex interaction of factors, and the only reliable test of razor performance is shaving.  I will eventually see for myself the beautiful pass around set that Augustin prepared for us.  In the meantime, I am curious to know if you see any differences in cap size or shape.  I know that as a rule of thumb, caps are interchangeable, but they don't have to be.

See that, you can't sneak nothing past Mike. When comparing them the .80, 1.0 and 1.20 caps all appear the same. The 1.0 and 1.20 bases to the naked eye appear the same but the .80 is easily seen as narrower than the other 2. Good question Mike

Alas, lots of stuff gets by me, and I'm lucky if shows up on a later radar sweep. But no matter to that. Thanks Dave in KY.

Decided to try the shallow end of the pool today with the .80 Titanium head. The open comb and staright bar sides felt equally comfortable and the angle is easy to find. Don't ask me what the cutting angle is as I never put a protractor to my face. Let's just say it is easy to find the correct cutting angle and get a close shave. A little more buffing was needed to get to the same smooth shave I desire but was easily done without any irritation whatsoever. It's been a pleasure sampling this fine collection. It's clear Augustin has done his homework and trialing things before presenting rather than aftr the fact and then needing to correct things. Will try the SS 1.0 Gap tomorrow. Everyone have a great day !

Another BEAUTIFUL shave with the Le Maurice this time with the 1.00 Gap SS and I believe this is the sweet spot for me. All 3 are smooth operators and efficient. In my opinion the only advantage the highest gap would be is for those that don't shave every day. Again, this is my opinion. This is a razor I would love to have in the Titanium polished 1.00 gap Straight Bar if I had the budget. Another shave tomorrow perhaps on video before sanitizing and boxing up the set to mail to AJSharp by Thursday. Have a great day everyone !

One of my customers is a shopping plaza and he has 2 dead Pine Trees that are threatening the parking area and cars. So I got the side Gig to take them down and remove them. Heading out early today to set up a perimeter before the coffee shop patrons start to show up and park near the victim trees. That's why I chose the Woodsman for my soap today. Great smooth shave. Have a great day !
