It's also possible that from the time that post went up that I read and it went to production that something may have got tweaked. I did get some sort of sensation when I used the skin food splash. I don't know if it was a menthol feel or a sensitivity reaction but it was not severe enough to be an issue and subsided quickly. All in all a great set for myself but obviously I can't speak for everybody especially if they have a sensitivity to some ingredients.
Interesting.  IIRC you made a very positive comment about Frank's SFSs during the video.  I don't remember your exact words Dave, but I do remember thinking you could certainly get an "Amen" from me, since I am also a big fan of the SFSs.  But I am a big fan even though I always get a mild, transient burn from them, which I've assumed is the hyaluronic acid.  Anyway, as far as cooling goes, I don't remember any from the ShaveMD SFS, but I will pay closer attention next time.

Mike, you actually just described it perfectly. It was a transient burn and probably the hyaluronic acid. To me it felt good but was more noticeable than normal. Maybe some extra in that shot but I was caught up in the awesome scent strength which is what I believe I focused on.

I actually was reading from Frank's post in the Ethos thread. Here's a copy/paste from his post I read. It mentioned a mint absolute which may not be the final production.

"So the ShaveMD is an F Base Soap and the Aroma Blend is made of Organic Italian Lemon EO, Organic Italian Lime EO and Ginger EO with a touch of Organic Green Mint Absolute"

Potato Peelers Unite !!  Happy

So glad Paul pif'd me this soap to try. The lather was easy to make and an outstanding lather too. The scent was a nice fresh and clean one with great strength. Sad to say on the 2nd pass I was feeling something going on and by the 3rd pass a burning that had me anxious to shave it all off quickly. I'm unsure if it was something in the base or more likely the fragrance used but it will be a pif or trade soap for me unfortunately. Thanks Paul mrdoug for the chance to give this one a try. My 1st 345 Soap to use and sad to say can't keep this one in the den.......I'm assuming you had the same reaction but can't remember

Akk, I'm sorry Dave. It's such a wonderful scent. I hoped it would work for you.

Yep, same reaction here. It has to be something with the scent oils? I had similar issues from CTS Cowboy Spice, which is (a weaker version of) the same scent. I had hoped it was base related, not scent... But both gave me issues.

Well, I hope you got enough out of the shave to gauge how 345 works in general?

Have a great Saturday!

Paul, absolutely no reason to be sorry buddy. I appreciate you giving me the chance to try their soap base. Hope you have a great day!

Very nice! Quite the nice pass around set!
I also was happy to see I am not the only shaver to find a spot at rinsing and take another swipe! Thanks, Dave, for sharing the razor and shave with us.
