I guess I was wrong, the soap doesn't have a synthetic coolant. Something in how Frank announced it made me think so... I'll have to figure out how I got derailed. Lol.

FWIW Frank mentions "a little bit of cooling agent" here on the ShaveMD product page.  Also FWIW, I did not notice the cooling agent during the shave.  OTOH my admittedly second rate nose was shocked that it could actually pick out the lemon, lime, and - especially - ginger.  I will have to check out Dave's video later.

I watched the video.   Dave was reading the scent ingredients straight out of the Ingredients list (here).  Perhaps one of the other ingredients (or some interaction among them) does cooling.

It's also possible that from the time that post went up that I read and it went to production that something may have got tweaked. I did get some sort of sensation when I used the skin food splash. I don't know if it was a menthol feel from the mint or a sensitivity reaction but it was not severe enough to be an issue and subsided quickly. All in all a great set for myself but obviously I can't speak for everybody especially if they have a sensitivity to some ingredients.
