Man, the detail on that razor head... What a beautiful piece. They just don't make things like they used to.

Thanks Paul, the shave quality was way up the scale too. Near my 2 favorite Star razors.

So this is a razor set I acquired recently and as it was inbound was told by Greg that it would need blade modifications and he explained you need to remove the Spine from a Gem Single Edge blade and then shorten the blade before getting it into the spine again. That gave me the direction I needed and was all set as mine was coming with an original blade for size comparison. So here's the comparison in size and the metal snips I used. And the final product to shave with.

The shave was very mild to me. More so than the Star and Gems I've been using but gave a good close shave. My preference would still be the Star Super Six razor and the ones in that bunch. Just the right amount of blade feel to find the angle better that this one was lacking. None the less it was a great shave from another cool piece of by gone days. Have a great Tuesday everyone !!

I am enjoying reading about your experiences, and the modifications you make to bring back these razors. It is also neat to see "behind the scenes".

Using these 2 razors and deciding which to keep as my Buddy Gus GlazedBoker is VERY kindly giving me buyers choice. Used matching handles to keep it fair. I knew in a stroke or 2 that the .95 OC was going to win. Love the small slim head but the better efficiency and cool look of the iconic Timeless along with being a smooooooth shaver wins for me. Citrus Ice is a winning from Todd on his "Take Care Man' Youtube channel. The Cream gives a nice lather and shave. The aftershave I will see as it feels like a film on my skin after application. May Pif the set down the road. Have a great day Everyone !

Put me in that list as well Dave. Breaking out tools to cut steel prior to a shave just adds to the Macho Testosterone Fog that is normally in your shave den. Well done.
