Razor: Vintage Kenyon SE
Blade: Personna Injector (1)
Brush: Stirling Boar
Soap: Current 1508.5 Haslinger Schafmilch
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: CHH Tobacco
Fragrance: Paco Rabanne 1 Million
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 974

1st run with this flat handle single edge that takes an Injector blade with no issues what so ever. It's a mild shaver but gave a nice comfortable and close shave with attention to angle. Felt like a mild Schick Injector razor. Gonna be a long and wet day for work today. Have a fun day guys !! I left the "Stupid" out in hopes it helps Eric MaineYooper with his usual environment at work Big Grin

I have to say, Dave, that you find the most interesting razors and make them work! Sort of Mike Rowe of shaving, or some show like it on the Discovery Channel!
And I will say it for you, just today only, Everyone have a Stupid Fun Day!

Well, Dave predicted the Breeze!  While I really dig the Vector, and had some great shaves with it, I couldn't consistently achieve daily, comfortable, and refreshing shaves, let alone get 3 days in a row without springing a leak!

On another forum, I saw a WTB for a Vector in the late morning. All day it bounced around in my noggin. So late evening, I looked again at the thread. Yup, still up, no replies. And then I just jumped in with a brief PM stating I had a Vector, stand, and some new packages of blades.  Within the hour, we'd agreed on a price and I believe we are both happy. I am glad to help out another shaver and I am glad to have tried the Vector.

Then I got another PM, from someone in yet another thread where I'd asked some Vector technique questions last month. He made some suggestions and told me of his good experiences with the Colonial General. He wanted to "help," like some folks here (!), by pointing out the Colonial had some General V2 heads with slight blemishes marked down.  Another blustery day, Pooh!

So I have to pack up the Vector and move it to its new home, and anxiously await the General head. And I even have a balance left in PayPal!!

What a nice compliment although I have others to thank for helping know what ones may work with what blades. Some have been guesses like today's but others have done the research and it around for googling when needed. Thanks again

Well if nobody's got the horse at the moment, saddle up and ride down to the store for a soda pop, don't forget your opener

Razor: WSC Winning
Blade: Wizamet (1)
Brush: Knothead brushworks "The Kentuckian"
Soap: VSC Flak Bait
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Avon Island Lime
Fragrance: ???
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 975

1st shave/thoughts with the winning razor. The shape of the head and how it clamps the blade and shaves ALL remind me of a Stainless Steel Henson. I'm on the fence as it gives an amazing shave but tends to stick/grab at times instead of gliding which messes with the flow of the shave. A comfortable and close shave for SURE but the experience left me wondering if I want to keep it in the den. No rash decision will be made but those are the initial thoughts. Have a stellar day Guys !

Mine arrived in the afternoon, and I did a 5 oclock shadow touch up after giving it a pit of a polish and Nu-Finish coating. It is a bit awkward but the results are really really good at least based on that initial shave. Further judgement to come when I do a head shave.

Maybe the polish/coating would help Happy2
