Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 976

So I was back and forth with the idea of actually shaving with the Bread Lame. At times I would be like what's the big deal, slow and easy......we got this. Then reason came in and I thought about how thin the blade is and the screw etc on the lame made it hard to get the correct angle. Up pops Mayhem again and says just double up the blade to make it rigid. Reason says that won't make it rigid enough. Turns out that when I woke up and was starting to shave Mayhem was up again and said I should at least try it. With the 1st few strokes I could feel the tugging of the blade fighting to get thru the hair with no real rigidity or support. On about the 6th stroke the messed up angle won and I got a pretty good slice/flap............

This is when Reason showed up again and I switched to the 6s Plate 5 to wrap up that pass and another at which time I thought I should end at 2 passes and stem the flow of blood before the wife wakes up and eye rolls me worse than she will be anyway. Bread - Lame 1 Dave - Zero and Dave forfeits the fight. I just need the flap to heal before the Essence Tedalus shows up for a test run...........Have a fun day folks !

I wish Reason would have shown up sooner!

But if like the "angel" here, then the outcome was going to be the same!

One of my wife's FAVORITE places is Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountains. We've been thru it more times than I can count in a car, on a motorcycle and even hay rides. I have pedal biked it at midnight with friends when there was a full moon and had Black Bear and coyote run across the path as we were riding. Just a beautiful area and the most visited place in the Smokey's. So when I saw this set getting rleased I knew I had to get it even though I have been halting soap purchases of late and pairing down the inventory. The scent is described well as:

"So, this Cade’s Cove aroma embraces the ambience of the Great Smoky Mountains. This valley in Tennessee is represented by green grassy notes and honeysuckle on a woody, musky base."

This is a BEAUTIFUL scent and always a top level performing soap and splash. Just a great shave. The Bread Lame slice was reopened during the shave but settled down quicker than yesterday and will heal fine........eventually. Have an adventurous day Folks !

I forgot to mention, my wife is from Memphis. Someday we hope to visit her family again.

On a side note, she says us Northerners need to learn how to season food with more than salt and pepper or sugar!

SHARK WEEK is upon us and I missed it starting yesterday so went with Sharko Arko and used the Platinum blade in the Karve with the D plate and Arko soap stick. Nice smooth shave with no blood in the water at all. We'll see how the week goes but this is a nice blade for the 1st shave. Even got my typical shave including 1 against the flap and no issues with the flap which has sealed well apparently. Have a great day Folks !

Continuing with the Shark blade for Shark Week as it is so smooth and I am curious about it's longevity. Another great smooth shave and considering a 100 pack or 2 which I need like a hole in the head but you know how it goes when everyone starts getting them the price goes thru the roof. Can be had now for roughly $10 for 100 if you shop around for the Platinum ones. I guess I have escaped the blood letting from the shark..........Have a great day Guys !
