Happy Early Anniversary Dave! I did not know you are a bourbon guy. Have you tried Weller or Buffalo Trace?

Thanks Pat. Buffalo Trace is okay to me but isn't a favorite and Weller is always sold out but on my radar. Hard to come by here.

Razor: Yates 921-H Plate/Nodachi Handle
Blade: London Bridge (1)
Brush: @Hembree Delrin Cashmere Fan
Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch (Current 1508.5 Project)
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Proraso Green Splash
Fragrance: Scuderia Ferrari Black
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 970

New Knot in the Derin Handle by @Hembree Industries and like it better than the HUGE glue bumped knot I had in it. That will need to go to someone that likes TONS of stiffness in a knot. The London Bridge I saw a bunch of hubbub about and was curious about them. Thanks to Pete Patriot for sending me a tuck with some others to try. 1 shave in and I find them smooth and adequate but not as sharp as the Wizamets I like or some others for me. I'll need more shaves before a conclusive thought but a nice blade so far. Have a great day Guys !

Good morning David!
Happy early anniversary.
35 years is an achievement that you both should be proud of.

I tried the Red Tail yesterday.
I didn’t get a good lather from it, but I like the scent.
Gave up and tried some Mikes Pine and Cedarwood.
Wasn’t happy with that lather either, but it got the job done. (Great soap tho.)
I’m guessing that it was the ridiculously hard water that we have here.
From what I can tell, the county water boys just suck some water from the Mississippi, pull out a few of the bass and leeches and hook it up to my bathroom faucet.
I get lazy with using the distilled water, cause it’s harder to warm up than hot tap H2O.
I’ll try again with distilled and get back to ya!

PS I got the same with the London Bridge blades. Meh.

Thanks Guys, haven't made it yet.........2 more days Big Grin
Just keep the shave purchases down and no leans on any of the family property... You'll make it Dave.

Re: today's shave with the The London Bridg... A smooth blade is good to have after a nasty shave, I think. I keep a collection of Personna comfort coated for this purpose. It's so smooth, and im not comparing it to anything super sharp: Nacets are my usual blade.

Thanks and that's a shame about the soap for you as it is a great lather with my water and he does VERY good scents and scent strength. Out of business so it's unobtanium anymore. Love the Flak Bait Scent I have and the one I sent you. Have a great day !

35! What a great thing! Congratulations to you and your Wife.

Speaking of Bourbon, a couple days ago I bought my Father a bottle of Eagle Rare.

He had never tried Eagle Rare. Hard to beat that one in the $30 - $40 range (IMO).

Thanks Paul! I've never seen the smaller bottle of Eagle Rare in this area which would be that price range just the larger bottle and haven't splurged on it yet. I may have to try that at some point, thanks for the tip.
