The Rockwell 6S (plate 5) is my best performing razor as well. But like Dave said, the Yates is an outstanding too. Right up there with the Rockwell actually.

Another satisfied Rockwell 6S customer.  For some reason, it reminds of my first car, a 1953 Ford gifted to me by my Grandma.  Industrial looking like the Rockwell.  It is hard to beat the mindless shave of the Rockwell.

Nice analogy Glenn

If I may add another analogy...

The Rockwell reminds me of my first quality hand tools that I purchased when I was younger... “Craftsman”. I had my first real 8 to 5 “career” job, saved up and bought a big set. They were made in the USA and rugged. They weren’t polished or attractive, but man did they get the job done and I was proud of them.

Still have them all to this day and have used the heck out of them over the years. Someday I want to give them all to my son... along with my Rockwell razor of course!

Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: Rockwell (3)
Brush: Sorrentino Clown Puke
Soap: T&S Sicily 1508.5
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: T&S Sicily Trotter Handcraft Post Shave Sample
Fragrance: Penhaligon's Lothair

In order to keep the 1508.5 going and also having Wed free for Williams Wednesday I used the Sicily again. Great lather and we continued with the 6s and shave 3 with the Rockwell Blade. No worries and no fuss but getting bored already with the mindless and consistent shaves that feel good...............what's wrong with me craving variety. I will be using a vintage single edge tomorrow which seems appropriate with Williams and will get back to the 6s Thursday. Skipped my normal for a couple years now every day using my Humphrey's because I have Paul's sample of his Post Shave Elixir he's testing and want to see how it feels without any other things that could muddy the waters. I'll hold my thoughts on it until I have enough uses and then share with him via email.................ahhh the suspense has got you all riveted to your keyboards now, doesn't it. Have a tremendous day everyone !

PS - I neglected to mention the brush was pulled in honor of Eric Smattayu for his milestone reached. I hope he continues to extend to many more milestones in good health.

Many thanks for the shout out Dave. That brush gets me every time. I might have to try to make one like that on purpose someday. I think it was 6 or 7 colors that went into it lol.

That's a darn nice looking brush on its own merit, not even considering it was leftovers mixed together. As an added bonus, it has a fun story to it.

That's gold, my friend.

That brush has a good home, and I'm glad you get enjoyment out of it. It's also good to hear that the knot has broken in a bit as I really thought it would be a novelty that would be replaced pretty quickly.
