I finished up the scent notes for Clamorgans, the barbershop scent for the DFS Movember limited edition. I tried to keep it nice, fresh and agreeable, with just some subtle powder hiding underneath in a supporting, not featured, role. Also, the patchouli is a very small amount and mainly there for support/because it's kind of a traditional ingredient.

The notes include:

Lemon
Bigarade
Petitgrain
Bergamot
Oakmoss
Basil
Ginger
Patchouli

Hmmm, sounds pretty citrusy. And WTH is bigarade? Haha. I'm going to give it whirl anyway even though I'm not big on citrus.

yes, but I might hold off on that contest until I see how much stuff we have for the normal movember boxes.

That sounds fantastic! I'm really looking forward to it. Big Grin Everything in there I like and there's nothing that I don't. Now if you'd started with notes of freshly tanned leather combined with middle notes of old leather jacket, specifically the armpit part all underpinned by a base of actual old cowboy's working saddle leather then maybe, just maybe I would have been a little apprehensive, although, if anyone could make that stuff smell good it would be hawns Big Grin You may have gathered that I'm not a fan of leather forward scents.

Your leather formulation is exactly what I want next from Chatillon Lux. Shawn, are you listening?

That’s a B&M soap, right? Unfortunately, I’m on a B&M soap boycott, but only because I have so many, and I enjoy every one. I’m sure I’d enjoy Roam as well, but would only be able to use it a couple of times per year, given my affection for all the others in the stable...
