I tried to resist, but for $45 shipped, I just couldn’t say no.

I love the Yates 921 and Henson, so hopefully the Winning Razor is that realm.

Does anyone know the handle length and width? I didn’t see those dimensions on the website. Thank you!

Razor: WSC Winner
Blade: Wizamet (2)
Brush: Hembree Delrin Cashmere
Soap: Vintage Williams
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Vintage Vintage Williams Aqua Velva
Fragrance: Scuderia Ferrari Black
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 987

I have to say I don't care for the feel of the shave from this razor while shaving but it does deliver the goods. Nothing to do with the slickness needed as it doesn't get much slicker than Vintage Williams. I still say it feels like a heavier Henson razor in SS to me. Perhaps I will get more accustomed to it as time goes by. It just makes me want to grab something else most times rather than it. Where it is a Winner is the results and the price for a SS Razor today. Have a great day everyone !

I've had half a dozen shaves now with the Winning razor, I'm torn about it.
Its clearly a very well made razor, and I think its pretty wild that they're selling it for this price compared to other stainless razors. I like the machined finish, I'm not one for super polished stuff so I like the look of it. And again its crazy to me that the new Bullgoose machined razor was being sold for 4-5x the price of this with what is most certainly a razor that does not have the finishing quality this one does. But anyways...
The razor is a little on the heavy side, but not unwieldy. It does take a very steep shaving angle, which I find to be similar to the 'standard' Yates production razor, and it can take some getting used to. The suction effect that others mentioned is definitely there, and its interesting but not as pronounced with a thinner lather. With a thinner/wetter lather though, I do find that the handle gets a bit slippery. I know others didn't really seem to have that problem, and I don't all the time, but it does get a little slick at times without any knurling.
What I've found though is that even if it feels like its acting differently than other razors you might be more used to, it gives a really close shave. I do a daily 2-pass with some touch up, and I've been ending up with shaves that are much closer than I was expecting when reading about the specs of the razor. And its not coming with irritation or blade burn. So its very impressive in that way for sure.
I'm probably going to try a couple different blades in it to see how they perform, haven't gotten to that point yet.

Decided to polish my Winning Razor…

I’ll use it for my next shave to see if a polished finish makes it glide better!

Geez guys...

I was on the fence about this razor. Then I let the sale slip by. After seeing some recent reviews, I was thinking I should snag one when they have another sale.

Then after reading Paul's comparison to the Henson, I thought I could pass for sure. Now, after reading jesseix review, I'm back on the fence.

I feel like a yo-yo and I think I may need therapy after this.

It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...

Hadn’t used the Winning razor in a bit. Went with a fresh Feather and 3 passes later with a minor chin buff, I was squeaking like Flipper waiting for a treat or a smooch or two…..

If you’re a stickler for supreme smoothness and glide from your shave tool once your lathered up with your soap and just can’t wrap your head around that suction/vacuum/drag type feeling, then more than likely this razor will not be one you’ll reach for if you own multiple razors. Yes, it’s a different feel that might throw you off a bit but, the results speak for themselves time and time again. Very little blade feel yet it cuts effectively while being very skin friendly. I’ll be taking mine down to the shop to buff & polish it to see if it helps with that suction like feel that it exhibits. I don’t think it will eliminate it completely as that is just the inherent result of the razors design but, it wouldn’t hurt and I like things that shine…..
