this razor looks like it may clamp the blade fairly close to the edge as well. I'm curious if there's any photos with a blade loaded in the razor yet.
edited to add: it looks like there *might* be a blade in the 1st photo, but it's hard to tell.

Oof... I don't care what the manufacturer says. The only way my doubts about clogging will be alleviated would be to use it and it prove me wrong. That concern would be a strong hurdle in purchasing it. Despite any concerns I might have, it's still great to see new designs, and wish them success! I won't say never, however. The itch might hit me 3 months from now, or 3 years. You just never know!

I am wondering what price point it will fit. It appears that WSC got rid of their low end Baili/RR Tech clone, and this one definitely looks to be above the $35 stainless one. I am not sure if it will fit in between that one and the Merica (which is $90) or above that. If it is in between, I will definitely get one. If it is above the Merica, I have to see how much above and wait for the reviews.
As for lather slots, it has never been a problem for me. Some of my best shavers don't even have lather slots (Progress and Wardonia), and YPM has been designing razors for a long time and I am sure they fully tested this base plate for lather flow.

For $50? I says to meself “Why not self?” Inbound in a couple weeks. Didn’t see the fine print that it will not ship until after the 14th of June.
