It will be a safety bar and non adjustable.

Nice! And thank you..... Happy2

As per a Facebook post and response by Colonial Razors, the SS General apparantly is shipping out from their machine shop tomorrow and should be available to the shaving public sometime next week. Good news indeed...... Woo-Hoo!!! Happy

Hi  Gus

Just got an email notice from Colonial and this is what was stated: Looks like the knurled handle is what they choose to launch with. Happy

Hello All,

We come to you today with much excitement.  On Friday, Kirk and I completed all QC on the 316L stainless steel and black aluminum razor sets and are excited to state that we are very pleased with them.

A few months ago, we unveiled the stainless version with a price of $59.99.  That version had the smooth handle and the pricing was based on that.  The current version with the knurled handle will be priced at $64.99 due to the extra cost of adding diamond knurling to the handle.  This $64.99 price for 316L SS is a total steal for the quality we are offering.  These stainless Generals are as high quality as any other stainless steel razor on the market today, so we are incredibly excited and pleased to bring them to you at this price point.

Due to the limited number of stainless razors for this first batch, we are only allowing 1 stainless razor purchase per customer for this batch only.  We plan to ramp production if they are a success.

I personally took a stainless razor from this batch for my own collection and tested it the past two days.  I got two outstanding shaves with it and believe many will enjoy them as well!

The 316L stainless and black aluminum Generals, along with a small amount of stainless handles, will be released on 10/15/2017 at 9:00 AM ET.  Please see colonialrazors.com for pictures of the razors and handle.

We are hoping to earn your business in one week and thank you for your time this morning.  Take care and have a wonderful Sunday!

Regards,

First batch gone in under 6 minutes. I was to late, all gone by 9:06. Mad Oh well, wait until next month. Received an email from Colonial saying that they are shooting to have more by next month with a larger quantity to be delivered from their shop. Congrats to those who got in on it and Colonial for an excellent start to their SS General..... Happy2

Put my order in on Christmas Day (actually, my Misses did) received it yesterday and got it set up for my first shave with it this morning. No extensive write up needed on this, it practically shaves nearly identical to the Brass version. But to my face I feel just a tad bit more blade feel, just ever so slight on the SS version compared to its Brass brethren. Which I like to be honest. But still just as smooth and efficient with better grip and feel of course due to the knurling on the handle. Weight and balance is just about right with excellent fit and finish, though for me a 95mm handle would be just the ticket as the 85mm is just a bit short for my hands but it works. Colonial nailed it again and for the $$$, it’s a no brainer for my face and wallet.
