Going from $65 to $99 for a Chinese razor is too much for me. But to each his own. Cheers.

OneBlade is made in China. And at $399 to boot. The SS General is a bargain in my book. Winking

Razorock Hawk is machined out of 316L SS, cost $59 and made in Canada. One blade is not a razor every body would go for even if it was produced on another planet.

One thing though, you can't just go out and buy that razor (SS Hawk) unless it pops up on a B/S/T or overpriced on eBay.

I hope you guys avoid all costly made in China products like smart phones, computers etc so that with low demand, cost goes down for us who does not have an issue with Chinese products. Before replying to this post, please make sure you use a high end North American made Monitor/Laptop along with a NA made wifi router.

We understand your disappointment in the price increase due to country of manufacture.

We are forever grateful for our machine shop in China for giving us a chance to bring this razor to market 1.5 years ago. We started Colonial with no loan or crowdfunding campaign, so a USA shop would have been extremely difficult to afford during the early days of our business.

Our goal is to use a USA shop for our Titanium version, so Made in USA will be available some day on our website. Smile

Regards,

Kyle

Good point Sourav, but you have to admit there is A LOT of garbage that comes out of China (not saying Colonial razors are part of that).

Obviously! I wouldn't buy a 100 razor from a random seller located in China unless I read great reviews. I might, however, give the benefit of doubt if a guy comes here and says he is a wetshaver like us and now making a razor over here (new jersey for example).

But in this case, colonial razors are the guys I am buying from (which I have done in the past and I found no issues with quality(well the shave wasn't great)). Just like buying from Paladin or even MS shaving over at ebay, Yaqi from Aliexpress. I wouldn't disqualify them or complain about their price change just because those are (partly/full) made in China.

Actually when I got mine it was available for purchase with days, then it came back again in stock 2-3 more times and was lingering for a while. As far as ebay prices goes once sellers saw that no one will pay what they were asking for they brought down the price to whats in IB store
