I've really enjoyed my V1 Brass General and would never sell it. I'm looking forward to the new SS V2 especially the polished one as I'm not as keen on matte finished razors. Glad it's being made in the USA to and Aluminum for me would be a no go as they are to lightweight for me so I'm glad you made the decision to go with SS.

I read in some post here or elsewhere of a Gentleman talking about light razors + sharp blades performing better and resulting in comfortable shaves than heavy razor + dull blade (with more shaves). Heavy razors don't let us realize how sharp or dull the blade is. I found his reasoning convincing but need to try myself to agree fully to his logic.

I have limited experience with lightweight razors, but when I tried the RR Black Hawk it felt like i had to push the blade through the hairs, even on the WTG pass which was very surprising for me. Almost like the razor was bouncing off the stubble when I tried not to use pressure. My previous lightest razor was probably the Feather AS-D2 just for reference. I use the same blades (Prolines) in my SS General and it is all I use now, probably going to sell everything else. Unbelievable for the price. Even if you don't consider the price I'd still be interested to hear anyone who has one that prefers another razor.
Only razors peaking my interest now are the V2 General, the upcoming Blackland SE, and MAYBE the Karve CB, in that order.

I put my heaviest SS handle on the hawk and it ups the effiency and delivers to a nice shave
