Excellent, ergonomic bowl. Produces tons of lather. I use mine occasionally and enjoy it immensely. Smile

you can also order the 16mm (a bit bigger) at a cooking store at a much better price,  if you use a bigger brush.

Link?

Nevermind found it on Amazon.

I will say the bowl is brushed metal on the inside and not shiny like a dog bowl. For me, I think this adds a small amount of friction to help build a decent lather. I love mine.

After using mine a few times, I'd agree with this completely. There is friction for generating lather, but the texture is small enough that it doesn't produce bubbles. Really love this bowl!

Too small for my hands and preference. Wish they made an XL version of it.

Here is the Aesop bowl next to the size up from the same maker. (I've bought a set from a cooking website, delivered from Japan, by Amazon). The bigger size (16 cm instead of 13 cm) is much better IMO for bigger brushes, and is also easy to hold in a fairly large hand.
