I’ve purchased three Gen 1 Level 3 razors directly from Brian over the years, two OCs and one SB, two antiques and one shiny. I sold one OC to a brother who posted a WTB request, but won’t part with the two I have left.

The CG L3 remains my favorite razor among my many. And Brian remains my favorite vendor of shaving goods—not just razors—and there are a bunch of great vendors out there…

I've got a lv3 SS SB also and then extra Lvl3 OC plate and DC lvl 3 after buddy CK89 let borrow his.
These are also my some of my favorites, they really make quick work out of the whisker whacking.
I'm curious how the new design shaves, I imagine they are a nice.

I found the limits of razor aggressiveness with the new baseplate design. This one is 0.045"/1.14mm blade gap and 0.020"/0.508mm blade exposure. Physically I can't machine away any more material and have it still function. The shave is pretty intense but actually quite a bit better than my previous Level 3. I think the new Level 3 should be just under this maximum limit so I'll reduce the blade exposure to 0.010" or so. Planning to start on them next week to have ready in January.

“Expect” to lose business after sending this message out…
There’s a reason for my OCD when shipping high value razors and brushes:

I ONLY ship razors and brushes of high dollar value on Mondays
I ONLY ship these items full value 2 day Priority, Home Delivery whatever
I ONLY deviate per the Buyers Request
I ALWAYS communicate the label image and tracking with the Buyer along with my personal number
I ALWAYS stand in line like a soldier to get that scan in on the parcel, being on security camera doing this and the receipt in hand insures the seller further from mishap

If the Buyer wants overnight am or overnight pm delivery in the CONUS, I reserve $25 shipping and insurance for every up to $500 transaction, I’ll credit $25, however the $32 difference for overnight is on the buyers tab and not mine.

Shipping to Moscow, London, Madrid and Rome with the same level of service is about $75, and of course it’s marked GIFT, all of you Shaving Gents are my Brothers, therefore “Family”

I always find proper communication and full value insurance give me a 99.9999 percent of success

…but what do I know?
