I've got gen 1 in Lv 3 OC, Lv 2 OC, and DC, and a Lv 3 SB in gen 3. I do like the SB bar design better on the gen 1, but it seems to be functionally the same to me.

Altogether. I had SS Gen 2 Lv3 before, I got some irritations and it was not smooth enough for me.
Using different blades, or different soaps didn't help to me.
On the other hand, Gen 1 LV3 Brass works perfect, very smooth, and efficient. No irritation, very comfortable to use it.
I like Gen1 plate design, I think thinner bars or sharp bar edges really help me to get better shave.
But I have to note here, my SS Gen 2 was heavier than Brass Gen 1. I guess around 40 grams heavier. But I have tried with Stork Ti handle, did not get good shave either.

Why does it matter? Genuinely curious.

The new L2s are pretty’ed up a bit from the everydays, which is nice. I do agree that the old design is more attractive. Also, not a huge fan of base plate posts. I really disliked them on the Game changer. Harder to change and blade wax would make the blade stick to plate. The CG appears to have cutouts which should help.

Hope it turns up!
and no, I didn’t see or read that before I ordered. I’ll say that USPS has been good for me here. My fedex packages lately have been delayed several days from expected delivery, but we’re still not over the fallout from c19.
