Since Brian put a Hiatus on his stands, I had THIS Custom Titanium Stand made by YAZON87 (Tibam).
Also available in BRASS, but I prefer low maintenance (NO polishing with Ti !) ..

The finish on both of your CG razors looks so different, slantman did you polish it?

It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...

I’ve been on a tear as of late using a Charcoal Goods SS in both L2 & L3 base plates for the past few shaves (on loan from a forum shave member CK89). Shaves have been superb with good blade feel yet a relative smoothness with both plates. The L3 is basically an R41 like type shave (2011 version) only better with just a softer touch but still wickedly efficient. The craftsmanship is exquisitely good and quality that is second to none. Great shaver......

The first generation Level 3 in brass remains my favorite razor, above all others. In fact, I've got three of them, one straight bar in shiny brass and two open combs, one shiny and one antique. Why do I need three? I don't, but there you have it.

I went back to one of my L3s today after a month or so of giving others a turn or two. There's something about an L3 shave that is just better than the others--the look and feel of the razor in the hand, the feel of the blade on the face, the oh-so-efficient, oh-so-long-lasting shave, etc. I'm glad you're enjoying the CG, Gus!

It truly is a magnificent razor there amigo. I believe this is a Gen.2 if I’m not mistaken as a couple of gents have described it to me. I couldn’t agree with you more on the feel of the razor in hand. Just a world class shaver from top to bottom. The shaves are very good with very good face feel with both plates. You feel the blade but, it’s not harsh nor intimidating. It’s a ferocious whisker remover with a gentlemanly demeanor....

Well, time to put one on the future acquisitions list. I’ve already decided on a Timeless as I sampled the .95 SS in a pass around about 2 weeks ago. And now, this beaut has me wrapped up around it’s gorgeous handle. Just an excellent performer from start to finish. It feels good on the skin with the L2 and just a tad bit more blade feel with the L3 but, never intimidating or harsh. The L2 would be my daily if I had to just live with one but, the L3 can also be a daily just a softer touch would be required for my skin. On a couple of days growth, the L3 is a samurai of the highest order. Efficient with laser like cutting prowess. I will miss this set up once I get it packed up again and ship it back to it’s owner. Awesome razor......
