I also feel Charcoal Goods makes the best razors, I really like the level 1 and level 2, which are my only razor Smile

And now, this beaut has me wrapped up around it’s gorgeous handle. Just an excellent performer from start to finish. It feels good on the skin with the L2 and just a tad bit more blade feel with the L3 but, never intimidating or harsh. The L2 would be my daily if I had to just live with one but, the L3 can also be a daily just a softer touch would be required for my skin. On a couple of days growth, the L3 is a samurai of the highest order. Efficient with laser like cutting prowess. I will miss this set up once I get it packed up again and ship it back to it’s owner. Awesome razor......

So does that mean you are going for both plates?

The CG level 2 SB and OC are the closest razor to my WR2 SB 1.15 and WR1 OC .96 Wolfman razors and I mean they are really comparable.  Great to hear such a glowing review from your experience with the CG.  That SS version looks amazing.  I might have to swap my antique brass for the SS.

That is highly probable. First though, is the Timeless razor. They will both have to be on the backburner until I get in a few razors that I'm waiting on such as both of the Occam's razor releases & the Janus Toggle Adjustable. The LOTH won't be accepting of more expenditures with those razors still in the que. And the holidays are coming up. Got to keep my RAD in check for the rest of 2019.......

With the more machine like finish on the newest SS razors are you guys noticing any drag? Is it as smooth as the brass?

Gus, Do not worry, new razors are coming, probably I will be able to send you a new razor prototype from Russian company next week,
I might have better news soon to ask you try more prototypes from one more razor company in USA (they are not on market yet).
Might be early or mid in 2020. Will see... Always love to read your reviews... Thanks a lot Smile

I have not noticed any drag from the SS CG level 1 & 3 I have.  The level 1 SS is slightly more efficient than the level1 Brass and I mentioned it to Brian awhile back and he said it was true.

I have not noticed any drag with either of the plates on the Charcoal Goods SS. I can’t tell you how it compares to a Brass Charcoal Goods razor with both L2 & L3 plates as I’ve never experienced one.....

Thanks for keeping me in the loop my friend. The adjustable offering from HomelikeShaving really has my interest on high alert as it looks like it is modeled after the Gibbs Adjustable. And now another potential new razor from a US maker in the horizon? Looking forward to finding out who that may be. Good times for wet shavers ahead as it just keeps getting better.....

In reading through these posts I’m a little confused by those comparing the level 2 plate to the 3. It seems that some feel the 3 is much more aggressive and other describe it as more efficient. The 2 is suppose to be medium aggressive and the 3 is described as very aggressive. Just wondering if there is a big difference in aggressiveness. I have a GC .84 and Im Wondering if that is comparable to the level 2 charcoal plate. Anyone know?
