Hi All,

Sean CarbonShavingCo. and I had a brief call. We would prefer if the pass around pauses for a little bit until this covid19 stuff dies down a bit.

CK89, please hold onto the razor once you get it until we give you the go ahead to send it off to the next person in line.

I really don't see the need to stop the pass-around. I'm sure people are ordering stuff online anyways, this razor is just one more package. Plus, the virus should be dead due to the transit time and people should be sterilizing previously used personal items regardless, even before all of this started.
Another thing to keep in mind is that different parts of the country are at different points on the growth curve, meaning there's always going to be some places that are hot spots and others which are relatively unaffected.
And this virus will be with us for a long time. This thing isn't going away anytime soon.
I respect your decisions, but I really don't thing it's necessary to pause the pass around. Those who feel uncomfortable can opt-out or asked to be placed at the back of the line.
Just my opinion

Edit just to add that people don't even have to leave their houses to ship packages. You can have the USPS pickup the package free of charge.

No worries andrewjs18 it's all good

CarbonShavingCo. I hope to try your razor later this year and purchase a complete razor with a largest blade gap at whatever time. It seems like a solid razor and I'm looking for a replacement razor and want to find another solid razor. Looking to support American made razor and the packaging is very intriguing.

CK89 If I were to ask for a favor, would it be too much to ask for a few comments on how the various base plates feel and what blades you are using? I hope you enjoy shaving with it.

Sounds like a good plan. Hopefully it can continue soon but the most important thing is we all stay safe.

Got the razor safely. And just have the first shave.
Red: + & Black: ++

I mostly use aggressive razors like WR2 1.55, Nodachi, Paradigm Ti1, Ikon Tech etc..
I like Carbon has pretty thin head and weighs less than 100 grams. Easy to control and well balanced.

Had 3 days growth and got WTG, ATG. Result: comfortable and close shave.

Initial thoughts:
Both "+" and "++" is considerable more efficient than first version.
The original version is a mild razor and its efficiency like Paradigm Ti2, H&S 075 etc. But it has a bit more blade feel.
I own first version, and not working well with me.
I can feel "++" more efficient, but the difference I felt not as high as the difference between CG LV2 and CG LV3.
All three versions are pretty smooth and comfortable. I mean I can easily use "++" as a daily shaver.
I like "++" more. I will attach detail photos and more feedbacks.
The next shave will be btw "++" and WR1 .94SB

For selfish reasons, I hope you feel obligated to do detailed reviews of every single plate versus every razor you own. Wink

In all seriousness, the comparisons you mentioned are incredibly helpful. Thank you!

I will add more detail photos tomorrow morning. I can compare it with the razors I have.
First I will start with "++" vs. WR1 94SB on Sunday.
I got BBS and irritation free shave.

Great to hear about the considerably more efficiency in the ++.
How's the blade feel in the ++ compared to the original?
My complaint about the original was that it had too much blade feel and not efficient enough. This new one sounds like a winner so far.

There is a slight increase in blade feeling between original one and "++".
On the other hand, significant increase in efficiency.
I can give more detail feedback after I will compare with my other razors.
But I can say for now, I am definitely going to order "++" .

One more feedback, I lately got some vanyulay soaps.
This aquarius base is very slick and gave me excellent post-shave performance.
Only $8 and one of the best soap I have ever tried.
