CarbonShavingCo. New company & razor in the works....

As a follow up to our earlier post, here are photos of our 2 new base plates. We have just finished a very small run of these units, our plan is to get these into the hands of some of our customers to get their thoughts but also to get thoughts and feedback from the community.

Detail are as follows:

Current Cx gap: .68mm
Plus/"+" gap: .88mm
2Plus/"++": 1.08mm

What we also did with these plates is we reduced exposure as we increased gap...however they all remain positive exposure.

I used .68 first time this week. And found it is a bit mild for my taste, and It pulls my hair. But I can easily say that the weight and the balance of the razor is so perfect. Such a nice thin head. The razor is pretty smooth as well. Good luck for your new base plates.

I would. Love to join the West Coast pass around but is this only for current owners of a Carbon CX? Is it just the new base plates that will be passed around or an entire razor with the new base plates?

Is it too late to get in on the pass around?

I'm going to put together the list here in the next day or so.

to be clear, there will only be 1 razor that is getting passed around. I believe it'll have a handle, the 2 new base plates, the original base plate and the top cap...the original base plate is more for those who haven't tried the original razor and/or for those who want to do a comparison to the original.

after the pass around, the razor will be raffled off with the proceeds coming back to DFS.

Please add me to the pass around list now that I know it will indeed have a top cap.

What are the requirements for the passaround, as I would love to be in (Michigan)

Hi all,

Here's the current pass around list for the Carbon razor. This pass around will include 1 handle, 1 top cap and 3 base plates: the original base plate plus 2 new base plates Carbon has designed.

Since there's only 1 razor being passed around, please try to get the razor sent out to the next person via priority mail after 7 days of usage so things move along at a decent pace.
