Hardly, but let me state the obvious that the mgmt. here seems to be missing in the overall scheme. Why don't you simply eliminate those people who seem to causing issues in your BST threads? You have allowed some to "nest" here in this forum who have turned it into a "country club" of snobbery that quite frankly has damn near ruined it. You have allowed some vendors to obtain basically what amounts to free advertising via virtual "shilling" when this should have been nipped in the bud ages ago. There is a total lack of almost anything new re topics unless it is priced beyond the means of the average wet shaver, let alone any new person who may be lurking and thinking of joining. It has become an "echo chamber" as such. These matters should have been attended to years ago, but they have not. As such, this forum is headed to be simply another Shavemyface unless you start swinging the sword.
Your average wet shaver cannot afford $400 razors nor $35 soaps. The clue phone is ringing. Are you smart enough to pick it up?
You certainly have a right to your opinion and perhaps there are greener pastures out there in the internet world. However, I can honestly say that after helping to moderate three separate sites, the more things change, the more they stay the same. No, we cannot get rid of everyone just because you think your ideas are right and the site's wrong. Having a free exchange of ideas but knowing when and how to put a limit on some things is never easy and never will be. Your hardline 'suggestions' are every bit as wrong spirited as the things you are complaining about. The moderators here (and I am including
andrewjs18 as a moderator as well as the administrator) work together when major problems arise and, even as a moderating group, we don't work in lockstep with each other. Sometimes we are all agreed on a solution and sometimes not but we try to do what is best for the health of the site. You are free to disagree but that's the way it is.
As for your assessment of what is new, anyone is able to introduce a new product no matter the cost. While there are, indeed, many high end products shown, there are also stellar moderately priced products that come out that a lot of us look forward to. The Stirling Soap Co. is one such company with affordable products that a lot of us look forward to hearing about its latest shave soaps, razors, brushes, bath soaps, etc. We even discuss simple readily available products like cartridge razors.
I find your whole post to be completely disingenuous. What surprises me is that you have been around DFS long enough to see how it operates and to add many positive posts to the knowledge base here.
