Blackland new SE razor.

A friend let me borrow his Vector and I must say it is a wonderful razor.  I will be getting myself one soon. While I had it I could not resist putting my titanium aristocrat handle on it and giving it a try.  It was an awesome shave and looked good doing it.

The Vector is a wonderful razor and very nimble. Its smooth as butter and doesn't feel like it aggresive but yet real good efficiency.

Agree with everything you said.

I had this shaving Olympian quiet far to long. I had been on a spree of shaving with newly acquired DE’s both standard & adjustable (one prototype) that had my head spinning but, leaving me with a s**t eating grin after every shave. Today I wanted to change it up and wanted an SE shave and saw the Vector sitting there stoically just waiting for an opportunity to slice & dice some facial whiskers. It was on and it did not disappoint. Loaded up a fresh Pro Super and this American Samurai sliced and demolished 2 days of growth like a freshly forged Hatori Hanzu Steel (Kill Bill Vol.1) cutting through the Crazy 8’s gang. Magnificent tool that is designed for the utmost in cutting prowess, maneuverability, comfort and near perfect balance. Also, not a bad razor to look at either. LOVE this thing....

An update for those that have been waiting on the Vector and have gone and preordered one. If you haven't signed up for the Blackland Newsletter, here is the latest informational release from Shane himself concerning availability and some other good bits of info. I highly recommend to those of you that have not signed up for his newsletter to get on board. It's one of the best in terms of info and upcoming releases/projects.

Production Update #3
Hi Blackland Fans,



This isn’t the update I was hoping to write today. I’ve always been up front with you and given you the information I have as I receive it. Unfortunately, production has not caught up like I hoped and expected it to. First, let’s get the bad news out the way. We will not be able to ship all pre-orders by Christmas as I had planned. Some Vectors and Blackbirds will ship in time, but many will fall into January. I want to give you as much time as possible to make other arrangements if necessary. I’m told that Vectors and Blackbirds will start to be completed beginning at the end of this week. As soon as we have those parts we’ll ship as many as possible next week. Not being able to fulfill all these pre-orders by Christmas is unacceptable and personally a low point for Blackland. I’m sorry for those of you who made our razors part of your Christmas plans.



As I’ve said in previous updates, our machinists have been dealing with a broken machine that took far longer to repair than any of us expected. In the last update, I was hopeful and told you that the machine was fixed. However, immediately after being fixed it broke again and has been unreliable since. Our parts are now running on other machines and production is happening as I write this. While I feel that our production partners could have done a better job managing this issue, at the end of the day this is my company and I have sole responsibility for this delay.



Going forward, a few things are happening. First, I’ll be contacting each person waiting for their pre-order to offer a discount on future Blackland products. Keep an eye out for an email from me over the next few days. Second, our machinists will be shipping parts to us every day until we’re caught up and we’ll be fulfilling your pre-orders as those parts come in. Finally, going forward, we’re making big changes behind the scenes to address these production bottlenecks to ensure that in 2020 and onward we will be able to better serve our customers while continuing the tradition of quality that Blackland razors are known for.
