This razor has peaked my interest as I love the small head and I'm wondering how it compares in size to my two favorite SE razors. The Asylum RX which I'd describe as Very Efficient and the Cobra Classic which to me offers a great balance of both efficiency and smoothness. I have a feeling this razor will be similar and who knows maybe even better but I'm in on this one all the way and Shane saying it will be available in other finishes leads me to believe there will be a high polished version which is what I'll wait for. Can't wait to hear the reviews and do a comparison shave with it to the two others I mentioned.

Too bad. That's the same length as the Dart handle, which was too long for me. I like short handles; the 76 mm Durham-Duplex handle is my favorite.
IMO the Vector handle would look better with the neck shortened by half. I think I'll wait until he offers a head only option before I buy.

The long, narrow head looks truly off-balanced with a shorter handle. It needs something long and sleek. Not sure if I’ll ever offer this one as head-only.

That's a perfect length for most people including me

"de gustbus est non disputandum". I have just one more question.

How much does the head weigh, and how much does the handle weigh?

My scale broke and the replacement is incoming. I’ll have those specs soon.

I just watched Chris Bailey's presentation of this razor on YouTube.
It looks much less giraffe-necked in his video than it does in your still photos.  I do think I'll buy one.

So far my favorite Artist Club SE razor is The (black aluminum) General by Colonial Razors.
My least favorite by far is the Rocnel, which is too big and heavy and lacks agility, kind of like a framing hammer.
The (always pricey) Paradigm Razors SE head design seems to have borrowed from Rocnel, which from the pictures looks angular and awkward.

I'll say this in your favor Shane, you're probably the least derivative razor designer out there.
Your designs have real originality, and that's rare in any field.  My compliments.  Keep it up.

A reviewer was kind enough to weigh the final version of the Vector. 77g total. 17g for the head. I’ll confirm those figures with my replacement scale when I get it, but it’s very close to older versions so it’s likely accurate.
