It does take some getting used to, but it’s necessary to open up design possibilities and create a perfectly sized razor. It has also been solidly reliable on the Sabre so far with no reports of stripping threads or bending the post.

There should be no worries regarding this, the 6s is mim process and the post is similar in design and no issues.

Shane. Please make sure you produce enough of these. Looks like it is going to be a big seller.?

This is not true. The 6s post is nothing like the Sabre post in design. It is round.

We’re making a pretty substantial amount so I expect we’ll meet demand, but it’s always impossible to say for sure.

actually while it is more rounded it does carry the same design AKA the post is chopped flat on both sides, just the BR is more noticeable, a trade off for slim head = chopped off flat post on both sides

Note that the threaded portion of the stud is flattened on two sides of the current MIM version (on right).

Granted that Blackland's design takes it further, I suspect that both the Blackland and Rockwell designs are significantly stronger than the welded stud of a Rocca or any Zamak stud. As long as the threads start easily without crossthreading, it doesn't concern me.

If it isn't causing a problem for Sabre owners, I don't know why this one would be any different.

I have had no problem with the Sabre crossthreading. It took about a week of use for muscle memory to kick in now it threads without even thinking about it

I’ve been waiting a few years now for my dream razor, a sleek all titanium SE razor. Any chance there will be a titanium version to follow?

Maybe, but probably not. The first reason is because so much material has been removed it’s already very light and probably won’t benefit from further weight reduction. The second reason is that I’m not confident the top cap is able to be machined in titanium at a remotely reasonable cost. It took a lot of special consideration to make this from stainless due to it being so long, narrow, and incredibly thin.
