No. My comment was that the gem blade will work with or without the spine on this razor while other razors will only work with unmodified gems. I was pointing out the difference in the head design.

No not at all. If you look carefully at the photos you'll see that the spine is intact. It was designed to work with an unmodified GEM blade.

Hi Shane. Does the razor also accept feather single edge blades as well as the Gem blades

It does not accept an unmodified FHS blade.
