Anyone try a blackbird lite Ti?

I have two blackbirds in Ti and am wanting to try it as it might be a little too much blade feel for every day shaves.

Blackland Razors is it half the blade exposure and gap?

Half the blade feel, but not necessarily half the gap or exposure. The Lite Ti is the most daily driver friendly of any Blackbird so far. I don’t think you’ll find the blade feel to be too much, but it’s hard to say for any specific person.

Thank you - now I understand it’s a subjective feeling.

I’m ordering up a plate to try.

Sorry I missed this! Be sure to tag us in these posts or better yet shoot us an email (support@blacklandrazors.com) for inquiries. I tend to skim the forums so I don't always see every comment.

We don't have any plans to release the Blackbird Lite Titanium base plates in any finish other than satin. That is now the only titanium finish we offer.

Why's that Shane? Is it because of cost?
I really like my satin Ti BB, but I would LOVE a machined Ti version.

The satin finish is a bit more expensive for us. We want to differentiate the materials visually and I think satin looks really good in Ti. The finishes are too similar to offer both so we’re sticking with satin for titanium going forward.

My lite Ti plate arrived.  I’m going to give my beard a day or two to recover and I’ll report back. First impression, the gap looks very small and I can see the exposure is less but positive.

No expectations yet for it but it will be a fun experiment, as I miss shaving every 2-3 days when I use the blackbird Ti because of how efficient it is.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! You’re the kind of person this was designed for so I’m hoping it’ll be a great fit.
