That looks SO Good! I’m really looking forward to these being released. I want to get a complete set in the machined finish, and I’d like to grab a polished set to have plated. I’m thinking Rose Gold...

Hmmm, I've never liked Voskhod blades in anything before, but so far they are among my favorites in the Blackbird OC. It's not that the Voskhod feels particularly special on the first pass, but the end result is a very nice shave. For me, the two efficiency champs are still the Bic Chrome Platinum (sharp as a Feather but lasts much longer) and the KAI (wider for more blade exposure), but the Voskhod is very comfortable and forgiving while still leaving my face very smooth.

The Voskhod namesake was a series of Soviet spacecraft first launched in 1964, and the Blackbird namesake was created for surveillance of the USSR and also first flew in 1964. For that matter, I was also "launched" in 1964. Interesting that we would get along so well ....

Voskhods do work well in the Blackbird. I usually use Personna Labs in every razor, but I do like using Voskhods in the bird. I think they tames it a little bit, not that the Blackbird is overly aggressive, but I do have to pay more attention when I use the Personnas.

Personna Reds have been my "go to" in almost everything. I like them in the Blackbird too, but it just has a way of throwing my expectations out the window (for the better).

Voskhods have been one of the most loved blades for the Blackbird since the beginning. For some reason I still haven't tried them.

Shane, do I need to send you a couple of Voskhods?!?

(For the record, they are very good in the Blackbird, but then again, so is almost any other blade.)

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
