I love the Dart and the Vector. The Vector has become my favorite SE by far, I agree. I didn't try the Sabre, I'm not a huge fan of the GEM-style blades, but the Dart, the 'bird, the Vector? THE BEST.

You guys are awesome and this thread is a nice birthday treat. Just know that I couldn’t be more grateful for all the support over the years. You guys make this the best job I could imagine.

Ps. Ti is almost ready for launch and OC Vector is done. I’ve been pumping the brakes, but we’re settled into our place so I can finally move on those releases.

Pretty much in the same boat. I have the Blackbird in SB and OC, and enjoy them both immensely. They are just so pleasing to use. Sometimes I’ll use another razor. They are usually slightly disappointing, which of course makes it a joy to return to shaving with one of the Birds.

It is a fantastic razor. I use both SB & OC birds and probably slightly prefer the SB. What has always amazed me is ... IIRC ... Shane noted that the blade gap is .58. It preforms as well as any high gap razor I've used, and I've used many of them. For me the top razors are Wolfman, Charcoal Goods and Blackbird ... in no particular order.

It' doesn't need a big blade gap because of the blade exposure. At least, that's my best guess. I think the razor is definitely "blade forward," with a fair amount of blade feel. I suspect that's why it is efficient despite a relatively small gap.

Personally, I prefer razors with large gaps and small exposures, so the Blackbird wasn't really my cup of tea, but it is a beautifully designed and crafted razor, and to be honest it never gave me a bad shave the entire time I owned it. I sold it because I didn't enjoy the way it "felt" on my face, not because it actually irritated my face. I have second-guessed that sale many times since I sold it, but have not yet taken the step of buying another one. Maybe when the titanium version becomes available that will change.
