Since I've gotten struck with the Bay Rum bug.. I've been trying a lot of them. I started with PAA Atomic Bay Rum and it's stronger than the Small Batch but so far out of al the ones I've tried the Ogallala Bay Rum Double Strength Aftershave is the strongest one I've had my nose on. I also like the Pineapple Bay Rum from PAA as you mentioned it's a nice summer Bay Rum.
Question, has anyone tried Royall or St John's I know they cost a lot more but are they worth getting?

Thank you kindly
I have some Royall! Love the stuff. Been through 2 bottles and have my new bottle in hand. Will send you a sample tomorrow.

Lasts about 1 hour... . Great top notes. But like most bay AFSs, no longevity to speak of.... That's OK though, as it allows some room for other edt/edps post shave.

Do you have any Island Estate aftershave?

While St John and Royall not terrible, and have used it in the past whilst in university and still retain a bottle of the latter, they are not remotely the best (especially at the price). That stated, the St. John palm wrap is simple and fetching.

By far the best bay rum ever encountered is Dominica - by far. if anything going to be your benchmark, this it.

Providence Perfumery Bay Rum pretty damned good too and should be considered. The owner is low key but quite skilled in a classic EU artisanal fashion.
Dominica has the best scent, performance or both?

Most Bay Rums burn my face. Chiseled Face is the only one that does not so it is my defacto favorite. It's different with the ginger note but I like that it's doing a different take.

Sad to say, that's one of the bay rums I do not like. I have a brand new bottle here so shoot me a PM if you're interested in it!

I used one of my very favorite Bay Rums today, ‘Rooster’s Nest Bourbon Bay Rum’. Leaves my skin feeling great, and the Scent is one of my personal favorites. If I could have only one, I would be hard pressed to choose between this one and PAA ‘Atomic Age’ Bay Rum.

Bourbon got my attention. Ordered one. It says it’s strong.

I know its all smoke and mirrors but I was bummed out when I found out St. John’s is a business out of Connecticut and not the Caribbean.
