Sandalwood & Patchouli (Wavertree & London)

Nice bath soap scented with Australian sandalwood. Smells woody and spicy, as you would expect. The patchouli gives it a twist of soft earthiness. Very good lather. And since they're triple milled, these bars will last a good long time.

This classic beauty just arrived from Dave in KY, thank you much.

A package simply arriving via Post would not seem such a cause for celebration but our service spotty these past years.

Packaging is marvelous, clearly done by a company proud of their life's work. Swear there a faint scent too albeit what one would expect of an unscented soap.

This bar immediately gets placed in duty and will comment on its performance.

I recently put in an order for some Autumnal soaps from Rod and last week I put out the first of them: Hot Apple Cider. Not my favorite, but definitely a scent for September. I look forward to the Sweet Pecan... It smells quite good. [Image: c7450880db45791cd0b020938cd27568.jpg]

I'm in that 3 to 4 week range myself when it comes to Stirling and Crowne & Crane soaps.  But if it's PdP or Duke Cannon, those will last a looooong time

Have read the package and changed usage strategy. Apparently Williams intended this as a facial beauty bar for women; all well and good, shall use it as a preshave and postshave soap.

First usage went swimmingly. Had concerns the lanolin might light up skin after terrible experiences with Mitchell's. Fortunately, no issues whatsoever and the lather is luxuriant!

Follow up:

Second use went equally as well. Really trying to initiate a lanolin skin response but so far, no issues. Hitherto had presumed violent reaction to MWF was lanolin based but may need to reassess. While this NOT a MWF thread, clearly some ingredient in it presents issues

Back to the Williams. Already regretting that when this bar finished, unlikely to secure another. It quite good. Lather is soft, silky and rinses clean.

Thank you Dave in KY
