Hmm, both sound nice. I can see where this is headed....

I had expected it to be a bright fresh grapefruit-forward scent, and it is not. I get the tea tree big time. If that's a scent you're interested in, and more of an earthy herbal scent, you might like it.

There wasn't anything wrong with the soap or scent. Rather, it simply wasn't what I thought it would be in my mind. I've spoken to Will about Ferox availability and it doesn't seem likely to return.

Hope that helps. Good luck.

Tea tree oil is such a powerful scent, I imagine it must be difficult to capture its essence without letting it take over. But yes, I think I'd enjoy an earthy herbal scent, or another citrus and herbal scent like Ferox. The grapefruit in the description sounded nice, too.

Also, lately I'm on a lime kick, but haven't found anything I love yet. Are there any great vintage lime-centric aftershaves that would be suitable for future Barrister's Reserve consideration?

None that I have found so far, no. Any suggestions?

Rec'd and tried my first order from B&M this week - Seville and Cologne Russe. This soap and these scents have been recommended by so many, I just had to push the button. And boy, am I glad I did. Terrific soap and wonderful sophisticated scent. Just walked into the bathroom after leaving the Cologne Russe out to dry overnight and what a wonderful air freshener it makes too! Great stuff.

Got in my Hallows A/S yesterday, since I haven't spent enough on B&M stuff lately. Cool I can't get over how much I like the scent! The soap was a quick favorite and now the A/S is even more of a winner for me. The wife loves it too, so that always helps. Actually shaved last night, but put on some more of the aftershave this morning.

Unfortunately can't say the same with the Reserve Spice. She's overly sensitive to floral components in scents, and the tiny dab I put on my wrist resulted in a face. So I guess I'll be putting it up for trade for another of the scents. Guess they can't all be winners.

Need to pull myself away from Hallows and try the Cologne Russe sample I got at some point. Just don't know when that point will be...

Will all three of the scheduled November releases be available in sample form at Maggard Razors?

That's a good question to ask Maggard. I think they just open full tubs and split them into samples. I may be wrong though.

Yes they will.

No, that's incorrect. We ship them bulk soap. Would be a terrible waste of jars otherwise.

Oh good. I'd have been sad if they used the jars like that.

Interesting. I was guessing because I know they sell empty jars, mostly tobs. I guess for some other brands they open jars to sample. Glad you guys worked out a better system. By the way, I have 18 B&M soaps now, some duplicates, but I've never tried Cheshire. I watched an interview on YouTube where you said this was your favorite from the regular line so I had to try it. Shaved with it last night and wow, r scent is amazing. I've smelled a sample before but didn't lather it. That was a mistake. This is a new favorite.
