Also I tend to like the bright citrus type scents and cologne type(think TD'H,Aventus types)scents.Based on that what would you folks recommend?
Placing a order to restock some blades and such, may throw on a tub of B&M with my order.

If looking at the current stock, why not start with either Adagio (Gliassant) or Seville (older formula but will be changed over within a couple of months). Both have light scents but are quite different from each other.

How do you know that the Adagio you are buying is the Glissant version?   The description of the Adagio listed on Maggard states that, "Adagio is being offered in our highly acclaimed Glissant soap base"...does that mean that there are two version (a normal and a Glissant version), or is it the Glissant version they are selling?   I believe that only the Glissant Adagio is available now, but I want to make sure that is the case before I place and order.

The reason it's noted is that some of our other soaps have not yet been changed over to Glissant, and Adagio was not made in Glissant last year because the base didn't exist. Any Adagio you buy now from any of our retailers or from B&M directly is a Glissant soap. Smile

Adagio is great WVHDRyder . For a straight up citrus [which I like too] I couldn't recommend Limon enough. Great, affordable and nice citrus scent. You really can't go wrong any which way you choose...

In other late breaking news. Cool.

I can't see if I recommended a B&M soap but if I didn't then, apart from recommending all of them, I think Leviathan is very special and I believe is still available.

Leviathan is still my favorite, followed by Lavanille and Adagio. However, those first two are love or hate so might not be the scent to try first without a sample. I didn't like Lavanille when I first got it, then after a few shaves it became a favorite. That's very common for me with B&M scents. Some of them change drastically once lathered.

Very true. I found this to be the case with Adagio. Now it's probably among my favorite from any artisan. I've smelled Lavanille, but I've put off buying until the new packaging/formula is available.

Yup, me as well - my first shave with Leviathan I did not like it but by the second shave I loved it and I continue to do so. I'm not sure if its the complexity that takes a couple of exposures to figure out or what.

Had the exact same reactions to my first 3 B&M soaps - one of them were Nocturne, which I today appreciate during the autumn and winter.
And I'm a frag head, that likes quite daring and advanced scents, but I was totally surprised to find such advanced daring scents in shaving soaps.

Now Barrister & Mann is the brand I own most soaps from - have a pending order from Will for 12-14 soaps, and already own 14 B&M soaps.

I'm not a Bay Rum fan at all, but B&M's version is quite nice, not my favourite, but I can respect it and now I know I can appreciate at least one Bay Rum scent Big Grin

Went ahead and put in a order for the Adagio and the Latha Oceana, went back and forth on the Oceana and Limon but after looking over my soaps and noticing the abundance of citrus scents I thought I would change it up a bit.I hope I have chosen wisely, looking forward to them!!Thanks for the suggestions.
