You know you can save yourself these problems by just buying all of Will's soaps as they come out.  They're all great and they get discontinued for various reasons (and without notice) but i'm pretty sure "nobody liked it" isn't one of those reasons.  Some soaps that you think at first sniff you don't like seem to strangely grow on you.  For example when I got a tub of Leviathan last year my first sniff did nothing for me but by the second time I used it it had become wonderful and is now one of my favourite B&M soaps.  I just broke out Nocturne which had fallen to the back of the shelf and I hadn't used it for some time - its really nice, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it in any of their posts.  So don't choose, just buy them all.

Mark, have you used the DFS soap? If so, how does the scent of compare to Nocturne? The description of Nocturne and DFS sounds like they are almost the same.

Hi Jerry, yes I have used the DFS B&M soap - I just went up and did a side by side sniff test and I don't find them at all similar. The DFS is more fall apple spice while the Nocturne is darker, actually closer to Leviathan or Petrichor than it is to DFS. Thats my nose though and it might smell different to you.

Thank you for the comparisons Mark. Looks like I might try and get me a tub from the BST. Love the way DFS and Leviathan smell.

If you can find someone who will part with a tub of Petrichor you should give that one a try too - wet dirt after a rain and very nice. Its vegan as well. I think Will stopped making vegan soaps but Petrichor is an excellent performer.

Yea I know, I just wondered how fast Maggard sold out.

I pretty much am starting to buy them all. I agree on the sniff test, which is why I always lather a B&M before making judgements. The scent usually changes when lathered in my experience. For instance, with Vetyver Santal I get a lot of lemon and not much else when smelling it from the container, but when I lather it the other notes come together perfectly.

My wife got me the Fougere Classique AS for Christmas. The stuff just smells amazing! Definitely going to be using it a lot. Smile

Spray some Azzaro pour Homme on afterwards and be amazed. Enjoy the Classique, it is great. I find Will's Toniques to be one of the best aftershaves around for my skin.

I'd say that half my den is B&M now. I just finished a 2014 tub of Hallows, next I'll empty my Fougere Aro.

I eagerly await the new 2016 scents and I'm very happy to see matching splashes. Top notch juice.
