I'm not familiar at all with the Shopify development platform and I'm not affiliated with any developer, but a quick search for plugins enforcing order limits retrieved this: https://apps.shopify.com/order-limits-minmaxify
Maybe you could give it a try... for the next Limited Edition release ;-)

I'll be damned. I've been searching for that thing forever. What did you enter that brought it up?

Now the question becomes, "Do I really want to tell people they can only order one of something?"

Sounds counter productive to owning a business. I can agree with the arguments for it, but limiting sales seems crazy.

No.

No.

All evidence has been buried, all tapes have been erased.

And therein lies the problem. Undecided

I would be all for limiting releases like this to one per customer, it just seems fair.  Like others have said most of us have more than enough soaps to last years so the odds of someone going through a limited release like this before the following years release would be rare in my opinion.

Less work and costs involved if someone buys 6 of them.

And let's be honest, its a business and making money is why most of them are in it.

You can't please everyone, do what you feel is right.

Probably only for something that will have only x tubs/bottles produced for the year/ever. And only maybe for a day or two if it hasn't sold out - then open it up for people to buy as a many as they want.

If the plugin even allows that kind of flexibility. And who knows, it may add more potential for glitches.

I wouldn't worry about the salty folks. Do you know if the McDaniels are getting heat for their release day issues?

This one is a tough call, Will, with some excellent comments on both sides of the debate. Ultimately, your products are superb and your customers will understand any sound reasoning you give for what you ultimately decide.
