Has the scent been adjusted on LGC or were some of these scent notes not on the original label before? I remember the scent consisting of citrus, oak moss, rose, frankincense, labdanum. Was it more than just those?

Second, when can I look for the EDT of LGC on your website? I have enough tonique that I may decide to get a backup but would definitely love to get a spritzer of this scent. I got lucky and my buddy sold me his jar of LGC soap. I am almost through my first puck. This stuff is LegitGC!

Not all of the scent notes were on the original label. The full list of ingredients is around 45 separate pieces, far too many to rattle off for most people. The EdT label contains the vast majority of them, though. Smile And you can find it right here.

Hi Will, if you've answered this question before just point me to the post # to save time. Why does Barrister and Mann have 3 different soap bases? Your main line (glissant and non-glissant), Latha and now Barrister's Reserve. I'm assuming that your main line will eventually be all glissant. Thats it, no follow up question. Yet.
Thanks,
Mark

They do different things and serve different functions.

Latha is the budget line, lanolin-free, designed as a workhorse for guys who just want a good shave at a good price. Simple scents, easy performance, nothin' fancy.

Glissant is the flagship. Lanolin, shea butter, and allantoin, complex, unusual scents, excellent cushion and slickness, easy to use, but can be a crapshoot if you're picky about scents.

Reserve is my baby. My very best work to date. Lanolin-free for those with the (surprisingly common) sensitivity, unaffected by basically all hard water conditions (including sea water; I checked), and home to the vintage re-creations of Reserve. But it's difficult to manufacture and not really like any soap on the market; in fact, chemically, it has more in common with a cream than a soap. It also has absolutely immense water requirements, à la White Label (if not greater) and IFRA-compliant fragrances, but the packaging is a little bit of a work in progress, and the base is not intended for use with anything OTHER than the Reserve line, with the possible exception of Fougère Gothique.

Sweet write Will. Love the notes you provided. Thanks for answering my question yesterday as well. Cheers! Smile

Thanks for your thorough response Will - I think I'm going to have to dedicate a week or two of shaves to only B&M alternating glissant, reserve and latha to see if I'm able to pick up on the subtlies. Even if I can't, it promises to be fun Big Grin

Not at all. Was addressed during development.

Iâ€m a huge fan of Barrister & Mannâ€s 42 products as well as the Douglas Adams book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I, therefore, wish to designate tomorrow and all subsequent Tuesdayâ€s “42sday”! I will be using 42 soap, after shave splash and EDT; should you be a 42 fan I encourage you to join me in the first ever 42â€sday celebration.

But Dan, I thought the 42sday celebrations had already begun… Smile
