Well scratch the tobacco. Drambuie sounds really good though. Would be interesting to see what you come up with.

I'm speculating a new vegan base

I thought about it, but no, no vegan bases. I can tell you without question that, all other things being equal, if you have the same scent in both a tallow base and a vegan base, the tallow will outsell the vegan at a rate of about two to one every single time. Other soap makers who've offered both can confirm this.

Hmm...Lime Lavender and Cedarwood gives me something to look forward to this year.  

Will if you read this, please consider bringing back the Rosemary and Peppermint from Black Label in Glissant.  It was my first B&M soap and remains one of my favorite scents ever.

I doubt we'll bring it back. It was very difficult to sell when we released Black Label, and no one really seemed that interested in it. There are other things on which it makes more sense for us to focus. Sorry guys.

I'd like to see something like a bourbon tobacco scent. I bet Will would make an extremely good one.

I learned my lesson about tobacco scents with Roam. It's not terribly likely that we will do another one in the near future. Might do a Drambuie soap, though. Been kicking that idea around for awhile.

Can you elaborate on what lesson there was with a tobacco scent? I love roam, but I know a lot of people don't. But if you were to do a different profile than roam with tobacco I know it would be popular.

It's like vetiver: one of those things I just do not wish to work with in shaving soap because of its polarizing nature. I get enough of that anyway.

I second what youngunn says above. Will has been very gracious to answer my questions even in a personal email. He's always been very kind in answering. I greatly appreciate artisans that interact, and I agree with the other choices Tim mentioned above as well.

Actually, I think it was YOU who were talking about a Sauvage scented soap. I don't care for Sauvage at all (and consider it an insult to its predecessor, Eau Sauvage), so I'm afraid that I will not be making anything in that vein.

It really is my pleasure to be here. Sorry about the Sauvage, though. It really reminds me of carpet deodorizer. I was so disappointed.
