Will, thanks for a great blog post the other day. I liked the review so much that I directly went and ordered it online. Do you have any thoughts on which of your soaps that the Grey flanell would work best with?

Thanks! I'd recommend Cologne Russe. There's a distinct violet note that works very well with Grey Flannel. Smile

Just make a Cologne Russe EdT; problem solved! Big Grin  All kidding aside, it has been years since I have used Grey Flannel so I could be wrong but it isn't one I could picture being paired with your Cologne Russe, Will, especially if one uses the Cologne Russe Aftershave, as I do.  While I do wish the CR aftershave scent lasted longer, it seems that putting on something like Grey Flannel on top of it would be more of a mish-mash than a complementary pairing.  As I say though, it has been years since I have used Grey Flannel so I could be completely off base here.

There are pronounced ionone and irisone notes in Grey Flannel. Cologne Russe is about 1% methyl ionone beta, which is relatively strong for a non-violet-forward fragrance. It works better than you think. Smile Give it a try sometime, Freddy. You might be pleasantly surprised!

Hey there Wil. So I'm sitting here with my boy reading some old Hardy Boys books. I can't help but wonder. You've taken on some interesting scent challenges in the past. What might an old book scent smell like?

That AMA read was spectacular.

Sorry I missed it live. I just spent a lot of time reading it and laughed, learned, and now it's after midnight...

Great- fun read. Had me on the internet on tangents reading about things I don't think I would have been interested in otherwise. Also ended up with an Amazon order for some bath gel and aftershave from Spain!?   Blush

Looking forward to tomorrow's shave even more than usual now.
Shave yourself.
