Are any of those disgusting notes actually used and prayed with other notes to make a desirable scent?

Most of them are not used, no. Indoles make up a tiny but important part of jasmine and ylang ylang oils, so any synthetic re-creations of those oils generally incorporate small quantities, but, other than that, such things are verboten simply by virtue of how awful they smell.

I must confess: curiosity got the better of me awhile back, so I ordered a tiny vial of Cadaverine. I do not, repeat DO NOT, recommend that you repeat my mistake.

They are the only two, yes. For now. We haven't decided it we will use it in anything else just yet.

Sweet Je..

That name alone gives me the creeps. What the heck..

Now I'm watching a clip about it on YouTube..   Confused

This all reminds me of a certain Norwegian death metal band, whose Swedish vocalist apparently used to carry with him a dead bird in a plastic bag. He would take a whiff from the bag when he needed some “inspiration”. The legend gets a lot weirder from there, but Iâ€ll spare everyone the further details…

This conversation is so weird, and yet funny.  Thanks to Will (Barrister_N_Mann), it's all put into a context where one can laugh and learn, all at the same time.  Happy2

And my thanks to Will for not putting any of those putrid aromas in soap form even as a novelty.

After smelling B&M Hallows, I'm quite surprised I get a FougÃre scent from it.
Did I receive a dud ?
Smells like one of Will's great FougÃre scented soaps to me with added vetiver

No, the only note in common is the oakmoss, though the oakmoss in Hallows is dramatically different from the oakmoss in the fougères.

I don't know what the heck time zone DFS is counting from, but it was about 12:30 here on the East Coast. Big Grin
