Think of a floral, slightly acidic fruit underlaid by gentle spices and a touch of oak and fruitiness. We're very pleased with how it turned out. Smile

Wow. That is a very nice description. And I'll be honest, the pudding thing kind of threw me off. I might actually try this one though.

Kudos for trying something out of the mainstream. It only gives more choices for the consumer, which if I'm honest, we have an embarrassment of riches as it is.....

Figgy Pudding is actually an English dessert, but it's a bread pudding, not the more custardy pudding that we're used to in the States: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figgy_pudding

It tastes better than it looks, I promise. Big Grin

Lol. That picture made me actually laugh. Because it looks less like what you'd eat, and more like what you'd....uh.....expel? Big Grin

Anyways I will give it a shot personally!

Do you have any plans for more what I call 'regular people scents' ? Big Grin like Seville, Oceana, Cheshire ?

I would suspect all three will have samples at Maggard's so I'm going to try them all in hopes of coming away with a couple of them. If all three agree with my skin and they smell great obviously I'll buy all of the full sized versions.

Much of what we're releasing this year will be resurrections of older scents that people have been asking for, though. Not sure if they qualify as Regular People Scents (the capitals seemed necessary), so I guess we'll see? Smile

They will indeed, though it will all be arriving a little later than the release.

Seems like everyone is in a fine mood. Will, maybe we should consider testing the website for the onslaught of orders. How about letting DFS folks start their orders now? You could have a more even fulfillment over a few days which would help reduse your stress level. You would sleep better at night knowing the website has been tested for the official release on Tuesday. We all win, and of course it shall be our little secret between your favorite forum and yourself.

Barrister_N_Mann (Will), thanks so much for the update on Cheshire.  The doughnut whole in my current tub now looks more like a thin bathtub ring so you just know I'm nursing it along.  It was my shaving soap this morning and I was reminded all over again how much I love this scent. Fortunately, I have several other B&M soaps to tide me over.  I would much rather that you get it right than rush it. Happy2

On another note, is there anything new on the Kyovu Cheshire aftershave?  I love it and was wondering if or when it would be reappearing.

Thanks for not only making such outstanding products but for being so approachable through thick and thin.

I assume you're referring to the labels?

I would, but we haven't made enough of it for general sale. Putting our wholesale orders together first; this whole Passiflora thing has rather slowed us down, so we're working on getting back up to full steam.

There isn't at the moment. Kyovu is sort of in development hell as we work on finishing the packaging overhaul for the soap and on completing Barrister's Reserve. What might end up happening is that Kyovu returns in one fragrance, something comprised only of hydrosols, and lives as a special sensitive skin product. In that case, there will instead be an entire Tonique line to go with the soaps instead.

Yes. Sorry if I was unclear; we're testing a new varnish.

It was not, but this year's is!
