We don't need any nazi insults of any kind for any reason period. I wish the member that was insulted gets a PM with sincere apology and lets get back to having fun on this great forum. we come to this great forum to relax, have fun, and share something in common, this great hobby! We all could do without the anger,insults,and stress baloney.

We have handled that situation. I personally reached out to primotenore to apologize and the said user was banned for 5 days. We will not put up with that filth on here.

I usually subscribe to the "if you don't like the song, change the channel" school of thought.  That being said, our hobby, like any other specific interest, is wrought with passionate fans with even more passionate views.  Usually that passion manifests itself as civil discussion and, in really great circumstances, in laughter and a smile.  In the rare moments when that passion turns rabid and ugly, I've found in this forum that maturity usually wins out and we move on rather quickly.  Let the rotten apples stay at the bottom of the barrel, because the sooner we get back to determining what exactly Barbershop scent really is, the sooner we get back to what brought us all together in the first place.

...having free-for-all forums are awful.  I used to help run a forum way back when that was very near that line and it got downright disgusting.  people would visit the forum just to talk about drama rather than topics that pertain to the purpose of the forum...

Of course, forums are privately administered and the admins. have complete power over what to permit & what to not allow. That is often overlooked as it's easy to forget sometimes that forums are not the Roman Coliseum. It is easy to delineate when it's someone rambling on like a madman, however the fly in the ointment is when a forum becomes too heavy handed to the point of deleting/not allowing disparaging posts about a vendor who advertises on said forum. Periodicals were like that in the past when they were the norm. A bad review on Saturday = a call from Chevrolet on Monday morning dropping all aCivilitydvertising. It can be a very fine line.

It is not that dissenting comments are posted but rather how those comments are stated.  Insults are still insults, no matter how much they may be cloaked in "free speech."  Civility should always be a top priority, most especially when there is a disagreement.  Having stated that, a politely stated disagreement should, of course, be permitted without worry of censorship.

Aren't they just!  I was running late this morning so I had a quick fusion/gel shave.  While acceptable, it is simply not the same.  There is something to be said for a basic wet shave with traditional products.

Let's move on friends, I have. BTW, I had a terrific shave today.  

I think that's happening already! BTW those terrific shaves sure are priceless
