Man, my kids aren't going to have much of an inheritance if this keeps up! They will have a whole pile of shaving stuff though! (As I dump all of my change into the piggy bank)

I agree. I still say and have always said that if you do a limited production run in short supply it keeps people chasing the latest new thing. It is a successful strategy that people will pay refunkingdiculous amounts of money for for whatever reason. If you put out a slant/SE that everybody can get, then it just becomes something that everybody can get and the, "I have to have it now/status," wears off. Is it better for business? No idea because I don't do the books at RR, but if he put out a massive production of the RR Stealth Slant I don't see how it WOULDN'T make a sheet ton of money. Maybe he doesn't have the production capacity/ability to do this, but it is something I have always wondered about.

At the moment I know of 3 new SEs in the works that will take the Feather AC & Kai Captain style blades. This is what most people want because they like the blade variety available & many believe that these blades are superior to the GEM SE blades. So this market is going to get flooded fast. Now a slant SE will definitely be unique & I doubt that I could resist that one.

I also know of two new SEs in the works that use a DE blade. While I personally don't understand this approach I'm sure there will be some who love it & I'll be happy that they do. I don't see it taking off, honestly.

Lastly, the chance for a modern SE that uses the traditional GEM blades with a spine is a dream that I see happening eventually & I hope I get to see it unfold. Despite being the most proven & tested version of SE shaving, we've yet to see anyone put a modern spin on this type of razor. Now, if we could get this razor & slant it, then I may just sell every other razor I own & quit the forums. Ultimate RAD killer right there!

Stan's answer to my polishing question follows. Here's the back and forth in its entirety (so far). Read from the bottom up. The spelling corrections are mine.

Nah, make it an option for the whole line! If your contracted CNC machine shop won’t do it, I’ll bet you could keep a dedicated employee busy just polishing to order.

I have though(t) of doing it with a limited fun run. Perhaps the Slants for example. Stan

Good morning Stan,

Wondering if you have any plans to offer your razors and handles in highly polished stainless steel? Extra handwork, obviously, but if the extra cost isn't prohibitive, there might be a market .

Another provocative thread from Roger of AZ, soon to be of SC! My two cents re an ATT SE:

1) GEM SE blades, definitely! Not injector, not half a DE blade, not anything else!
2) Make it a no-moving-parts three-piece, pretty please!

I love the simple elegance of three-piece razors. As much as I appreciate my OCMMs, I'd enjoy them more if they were three-piece.
Also,  a three-piece SE opens the door to a guardless SE -- a sevette -- something I've been dreaming about for some time. Every time I try shaving with a base plate, I end up tossing it aside in disgust. It's like trying to brush your teeth with Saran wrap around the bristles of your toothbrush.

An ATT SE(vette) would be awesome!  Character

yes, I have a full beard. I usually trim it down every few weeks when I get my hair cut.

I don't have any plans on shaving it down soon. I do shave...below my beard. Tongue
