Unless of course it takes GEM style blades and in which case shut up and take my money!  The Market is a little crowded with feather professional and Kai blade holders.....

I agree with this. Some new blood would be welcome.

Get a GEM Micromatic from EBay, use a nice coated GEM on it, and you will be in heaven!

It also seems that when Stan is ready to go on a project it gets to completion fairly quickly and he has enough inventory to meet demand without long waiting lists. No doubt it will be a quality razor.

I've considered doing just that Smile! The only thing that has stopped me is the existence of products such as the Mongoose and the new ATT (I like their design). I'd prefer to buy a single razor of each type (slant, SE, etc.).

Hopefully it will be similar to a Gem G Bar. But without the hatch to clamp the blade and utilizes some other fastening device.

Only because the hatch design can fail after so many years IMO.

I got one because I have read so much about them. It didn't disappoint at all. Great razor for sure.

Ohhhh, a Slant SE would be very interesting Happy2

Slant SE?! I wouldn't be surprised if Stan innovated in such a way. Wasn't he the first to do a slant open comb (with the S2)? I was told this, but don't know enough about razors to confirm.

I guess a slant SE could help put to rest just how much the advantage of DE slants is in the shearing angle, or in the torque on the blade which adds rigidity to that thin DE metal. Given how easily my rigidity-boosting Wolfman shaves me, not to mention stiff-bladed SEs, my guess is it's primarily the torque/rigidity that makes slants so smooth.

I'd love to see a razor that uses the GEM blades AND is capable of being just a head! That way, like the ATT's current like up, I can change from an Atlas handle to a Bulldog for example Wink Since I have an Atlas, and a Bulldog and a the iKon special long handle, I don't need another handle, but I can definitely use another SE head Big Grin
