herbert7890 thanks much for the thoughts.

I don't have the ATT set as of yet as mentioned but what I have noticed with slants in general is that they require a VERY light touch.

Sure you are already going that route but when I pick up a slant, even though I have developed a light touch over the years, I have to recalibrate and go extra light to avoid irritation or weepers.

Keep us posted!

Hi Herbert. I'm sure there's a bunch of us who are following your 'tip toeing through the ATTs' with great interest and anticipation of whatever will come next. If you have any doubts of just how rapt our attention is, consider that I'm paying such close attention to have noticed in the sentence quoted above from the 3rd paragraph of post No. 20 in this thread you said, "The first day with the R2..." I know you meant S2 but that's how closely we/I am reading your posts.

I know you are acting as a guinea pig for me and I suspect others as well. When a "high end" razor enters this house I'd love for it to be right the first time rather than to have to buy a bunch to find the ONE  that's right for me. Knowing that YMMV is gospel, I'm not willing to put money on it, even with your most interesting, ongoing testing.

Stay the task, you're doing good work! Angel

Awesome stuff man!!! I didnt even know I typed it wrong!!! Hehehe. Today I went back to the R1 with polsilver blade. What can I say? Is there a definition for a perfect razor it might very well be ATT R1 and ATT R2. Awesome BBS shave once again. Will go back to the S2 on Saturday, since I can have a more relaxing shave during the weekend.

Also,  Will be buying the S1, H1 and H2 in late November to complete the whole ATT set!  : D

Herbert. Your experience is like mine. Hopefully you'll figure this S2 out and I can pick up your tricks.

UPDATE!!! Just did what many people recommended and tried a different blade this time (Astra SP).

This is a totally different razor when I switched blades! I mean, I never though a blade could make this HUGE difference in performance! I got one of the smoothest BBS shaves of my life (just as with R1 and R2).

I'm in now in the S2 Bandwagon!!!!! Will keep trying different blades but so far I believe an order of 100 Astras SP is in my future wink emoticon Thanks all for your help!!!

I agree with most people now, that the S2 is very very Blade depentent (probably the most blade-dependent razor I have ever tried).
